Modding is however, far easier on Steam. You click the subscribe button, and its automatically able to be loaded onto your game via one of three various ways you can set up your mod list.
Gamepass version requires manual downloading, and there just aren't that many mods on Nexus at the moment (if ever, though I do plan on putting my own stuff on there sometime soonish).
As for issues with mods, keep in mind that mods need to be compatible with the latest revisions of the game. If you are having trouble and are able to provide evidence that its actually the mod (we get a LOT of false bug reports, which is a total waste of time for us), then it's best to contact that mod author.
