Thralls
Ok noob question here what do Thralls do when attached to a job such as tannery or cook or wood working.

Do they just boost output or what do they do since everything seems to run automatically even without them.

Thralls reduce material need, produce faster and some bring with them special recipies.

OK thats what I thought being the rest of the process seems pretty automated so figure it was some form of boost or benefit.

Will different thralls for same Tannery bring different recipes where it would be beneficial to change out thralls sometimes or is it pretty fixed what they bring?
Tanneries are pretty basic ... I'm not sure if they have any special recipes.

It matters a lot more with Armorers and Blacksmiths.

Job doesn't matter just used that as the example but the question applied to all the various bench jobs.
Some high-end armors and weapons need to be crafted by high level (T4) armorers, or even named ones

Per ex, to craft the Flawless epic Darfari cannibals armor, you need to place T4 armorer B'naru Heavyhands on command
In the case of the Tannery, the rack is basic as said. However, if you put an Armorer[sic] on a Tanner's Table you get access to new recipes, such as Stitch Hide which lets you combine Hides and Twine to make Thick Hide.

Oh so you don't need to put tanner with tannery or cook with coking stations you can sort of cross breed in a way but mixing them around?
Sometimes. Generally speaking you match a thrall's job to the type of station. But there are cross-types. To use your Cook example, I believe a Cook can speed up a Firebowl Cauldron. There are a lot of incompatible types though. Other times the type will be thematically similar, such as a Taskmaster improving not only the Wheel of Pain but also a Torturer's Table.

It gets a bit weirder with the unique named Thralls since they can have 'specialization' titles. So instead of seeing Blacksmith on a named Thrall you might see Weaponwright, which is a tier 4 Blacksmith that focuses on the 'Damage' stat. Similarly instead of a Carpenter you might see a Fletcher.

OK good to know will keep and eye out for those as I need to start gathering more then my dancer as needed to dump some corruption so went for her first but need to do other work stations also now.
New Question

I just added a blacksmith to my blacksmith bench

I had assumed the forge would also be blacksmith being metal work but it would not let me add the smith there. If it won't add the thrall to the square I assume then it isn't the right fit for that JOB unless as discussed above where there might be a cross over but for just the normal thrall with no extra skills it won't go in unless it's the right job?
Need to find a smelter for the furnace. The thralls will have a blue icon on their thumbnail that denotes what bonus they give to crafted items if they have one. Broken shield is armor pierce, shield is bonus armor, dagger is damage, hammer is craft speed I think, and I think the barbell is item weight.
The Hammer should be Durability.

The higher tier thralls add multiple bonuses, but the one represented by the icon gets a much larger boost.
OK Thanks

Another question as I read something on a different thread but could not find it.

Feeding thralls seems like a huge chore the more you have. This guy said to put the food in a thrall feeding pot and they would eat when they want.

is there a single pot you can put food in without having to go to each and every thrall to feed it individually as that's becoming a chore and a half and I only have 3 active thralls and 1 on the wheel now.
i allways leave some food on my thralls, but when you click on the Slave pot, you can see the list of those who feed from it. It seems only to be those on guard, not workers.

Where is this pot found in the various crafting menus as I can't seem to find it
