Trebuchet Range?

I had thought that trebuchets had their range increased (approximately a whole map grid). Just tested it today and it seems to be a bit less..... I'm firing at a 45 degree angle with the "power" at 100%. Suggestions??

The range puts the defenses (archers) out of range. the range is also long enough to put it outside the range of fighters agro. They can easily see it, but cannot hit it.

Thank you but is my observation correct that the treb range is less than a map grid? Maybe my memory is bad but I thought at one point (maybe a year or so ago) it was increased to that.

Render range is less than a map grid. the range is about 100 meters (slightly higher if placed on a tower or platform) or about 40 foundations placed end to end.
