The official Wiki says that the myterious chest might be bugged.

I have some Heart(s) of a Nordheimer to sacrifie and it would be so great to get myself a Boon of the Yeti.

Do i have a chance to get one at the present time or shall i wait for a a patch ?

Extra question : how strong is Valis the Loyal ? I have a Fighter III level 20 with "standard" heavy armor (but we don't have legendary weapons), and a Greater Tiger that i raise at the moment. Do i have a chance to kill him ?

I've always gotten the boon when I've interacted with the chest. Mind you, you don't always get gorilla pet out of it, there's also a potion you can get. Your thrall can handle Valis easily, he's not that hard, he's early to mid game opponent. With normal heavy armor and steel weapon you can kill him without thrall too. He's a spear guy so prepare for that.
