Placing Thralls IN Crafting

How am I to assign Thralls to the Crafting stations (Cooking, Furnace, Blacksmith, Tannery, etc)?

There is no slots on the right-side window below the Crafting Queue on any station.

I've taken on the Perks for Thrall Taker and Wheel of Pain, used a Truncheon to knockout an NPC (Smelter II), brought them back, broke and fed them at the Lesser Wheel of Pain, and now have the Thrall as an Inventory Item.
... but no slots to place them in stations, even after picking stations up and replacing them.

Looked at guides and forums and can't see why my game (single player) won't allow placement.

There should be a slot for the thrall in the middle section of the screen when you open a crafting station's inventory. It is above the station's inventory and below the fuel slot on things like furnaces.

Were you maybe looking at old guides/screenshots?

If you have a thrall in your inventory and open up a workbench, just double clicking the thrall moves it to the right slot in the bench.
