I would say something like that lol I get nervous that someone is going to tell me a spoiler. Yes players love to help but sometimes they help too much lol
It will lead you learn basic game mechanics and notice you some place to explore.
Follow and complete journey objects and build some outposts and bases where you like.
You will eventually encounter tough foes. Try to get better gears, do some leveling and go forward. Repeat.
I'm not good at English. So if there are some grammar error just laugh and enjoy.
I hate fog of war, that doesnt mean I have to know everything before hand either. If CE had a compass I would enjoy the fog of war. Its like this, if someone was smart enough to create witchfire and radium torches, making a compass is not that far off. There was such a thing as an Astrolabe.
I find setting npc respawn time to max helps out alot with this. You can just sit at the river and level up, I've gone to lv 60 just sitting at the river and leveling locally. Enemies are very gear dependant and you have alot to grind to get the stuff you need. Pay attention to ghosts that appear and they will give you general directions or lead you to suggestive locations.
There's alot of xp to be gained just by exploring the map as well as from crafting and killing.
lol Yes they look sexy when they climb. A compass would be nice, and make it where it's hard to craft because the resources would be hard to get.
