ps4 vs pc comparison
I'm sure this has been asked to death before but I got this for free on ps4 with playstation plus and I do enjoy the game but it runs like dung on ps4 with creatures and players teleporting like crazy and the most counter intuitive UI and menus when youre trying to do literally anything.

are the servers more stable on PC? Can i expect less teleportation and more server fidelity on PC? Just looking for some honest opinions before I drop $40 for a game I already have for free.

For reference, i have a 1080ti, i9 9900k processor, 32gb ram, so MY hardware specs aren't limited, to say the least. :P

sounds like you have an internet issue. when i play this on ps4, i dont have that problem.

edit - thats an official server as well. maybe you could try a private server and see if that solves your issue.

The teleporting / moonwalking enemies are still present on the PC version. The biggest benefit with the PC version IMO is the use of a keyboard. You can search in the crafting menu instead of scrolling. Also an SSD helps a lot if you're in an area with giant ugly bases with 100s of thralls.

I don't have any teleportation/rubberband issues on my test server. The experience really seems to be dictated by what type of server you are connected to and your own connection quality.

The biggest gain by going to PC is your performance will most likely improve, due to the superior hardware compared to that of the average PS4. And mod access. There is a wealth of mods you can access from the Steam workshop that simply isn't accessible on console in any shape or form.

ok i'll look into servers that haven't been spammed to death with buildings and thralls, that probably had something to do with it. and im hardwired on a 200mbps connection soooo hopefully that reduces any interference on my end. anyone recommend good servers that are stable for pc :)

Private servers can be rated in game to help you pick out private servers. There is also the server ranking website, I think it's called battle metrics, or something else, I don't remember.
