Can we talk about just how stupid this update really is?
I know a lot of people aren't happy with the new crafting overhaul (I'm not either), but that's not what I want to talk about (sort of) since there're already dozens of posts about it already. I want to talk about everything else in the patch:

- They said removed flawless/exceptional gear from the game... except they didn't. I'm not talking about the stuff we already crafted, I'm talking about all the loot drops from enemies, we still have flawless grade armor dropping from enemies that are pretty much useless now because we can't fix them at a repair bench and they usually have around 5-15% durability left on them.

- They said the changed the water flask so we can get more water out of it, but has anyone else notice they're thirst degrades faster now?

- They said they fixed not being able to place fishing traps in some bodies of water. No they didn't, not in Exiles anyway. I've gone through and checked, and there's no change in where you can place them from when Funcom broke it last time.

- The Grandmaster alchemy stations, does anyone know what they're supposed to do without having to build both of them? Because they're descriptions for them are so long they get cut off in every text box before they get to what the differences are between them. I'll save you some time, the precision station (the SMALL one) is the one with reduced ingredient cost. Thanks Admin Panel...

- They got rid of passive fishing, because if you put a fish trap in water and leave it for days with no bait in it, no fish would ever swim into one in real life... Now, especially in single player, we're basically tethered to our base/fishing area when we want to fish to make sure we don't lose any do to spoilage.

- Oil, Jebus H Christ, Oil! Why does it have to be such a grind to get it now? The tanner's workbench doesn't get an upgrade to reduce the cost of making hardened leather, and on top of that, they got rid of the t4 thrall option to craft oil at the alchemy stations from ichor and bark. Now we have to run around grinding (no pun) up seeds and fish just to get a couple drops.

- And speaking of resources, who honestly is going to choose faster crafting time over reduced resources cost? I mean really, I know they slowed them down, but having to wait a little longer for an item to be crafted versus having to spend hours scrounging up extra resources just to craft something? Is that even a real choice that need to be made?

- Finally, the specializations for t4 thralls, not only does it make finding t4 priests even more of a grind (*cough* *cough* Derketo priests *cough*), but from what I've seen, the piercing specialization for blacksmiths is completely worthless, you get a whopping +1% from an Improved Blacksmith's Bench when you could just craft a weapon with improved damage/durability and add a piercing mod for +15%.

I know I'm pretty new to this game compared to a lot of people here (bought it earlier this year), but this is one of the sloppiest updates I've seen from a game. I've had to spend more time just grinding resources than playing the actual game.

I have over 2k hours played. I quit after the last update because frankly, Siptah and it's mechanics are terrible.

Looks like they are continuing down the same path. Just making the game less fun and less fun. Buckle up pal because this is unFuncom's way of doing things.

Also just want to throw it out there that the Precision Firebowl is basically worthless compared to it's requirements. 200 Hardened Brick, 100 Insulated Wood, 200 Hardened Steel, and 100 Alchemical Base for a crafting station that reduces the amount of plant fiber you need for the Stone Consolidant by 1. Not to mention it's friggn' HUGE.

Agree, I hope I get refunded for the last purchase. I am done with this. These are changes no one asked for and no one desired. You simply don't do this.

The more I read that this is the way of the game at least since 1/2 year or longer I will try to refund this. Was trapped by the shop site and some let's plays. That this is not a solid company I idn't know. And the latest steam reviews showed very good. So I was trapped to buy s.hit from a non-solid company, huh? Great. Strange that Steam doesn't react. Unsolid or betrying copanies should be removed from Steam, at least I as a customer expect this. Will look at this 1 or 2 weeks further and then try to refund if nothing happens. Steam also seems to fail reacting properly. This isn't right. Maybe americans say: are you a youngster or what, but here in europe this isn't the way things are going normally. Here exist laws. And Steam EU has to rely on EU laws. Not what some american outlaws think they can do without any law.

I just re-read this. They actually slowed crafting times down?

they made higer tier amour crafting nearly impossible by slowing it down to nearly zero. And some other crafting... The grinding factor is now so high , higher tier crafting gets in some parts nearly impossible...

Another thing to note: Don't bother repairing any weapons or armor if they don't have mods attached to them. It costs the same amount to repair them as it did to craft them, so just throw them in the Dismantling Bench and use the parts to make new stuff.

EDIT: Assuming your using the garrison bench (because why wouldn't you?), not sure how the lower tier benches work with repairing.

Not to mention, apparently the animals in the exiled lands are meaty fleshbags with no bones now?

Precision cauldron has 4 recipes and if you want to make dragon powder for 1/2 the cost, you definitely want this cauldron!!!

Some of you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about these changes doesn't really reflect negatively on Funcom, it is just revealing that many of you simply do not know the in and outs of this game.
