Now, if the game would stop crashing 3 or 4 times per day, that'd be great. :p
There is an autosort; but from memory it's set to custom (ie no sort) for a new character. change it to name, or heaviest; on the inventory screen.
To the OP, yeah, seen this myself. it's bloody annoying. Jump & sprint seems to fix it.
Another variant is when you stop sprinting - or stop entirely -, your stam will continue to decrease. Crouch/jump should stop that.
I play only single player and since i'm not sure if hitting escape while in game pauses it, to be safe i disconnect to main menu. Whenever i reconnect usually i am stuck in walk mode. It's not encumbrance, its not something hidden at the bottom of my inventory space or anything like that. I've read a few things saying that you are walking because the game is still syncing up or whatever. Messing with rolling, weapon sheath/unsheath, messing with shift/ctrl/alt keys both left and right and spacebar cant seem to free it up. Sometimes too it will transition from only walking to only sprinting but without using stamina. On one occasion i found a named Thrall spawn but it was a male and i wanted a female to knock out and bring back to my harem. So i disconnected > reconnected to see if the Thrall would respawn as a female and when i got back into the game I was stuck in walk only. I chanced it and went into combat and pretty quick the walk/run worked like it was supposed to.
You have to jump or crouch to make it stop, it's really screwed up. After arming your weapon, jumping and runing around it seems to fix it self. This happens EVERY TIME I load up my single player game.
Yes it's right after log in. I was trying the backspace, and everything I could think of. I obviously did whatever it needs to fix it by randomly pressing buttons. At least now I can know what to try.
If it is a resync issue like i've read then maybe certain things will force a faster resync i dunno? like the one i mentioned about logging in and getting into combat right away? It could also just be coincidence that my game happened to sync up right as i decided to fight. Sometimes the only-walk thing happens for like 5-10 seconds other times it takes longer. I haven't done a whole lot of testing with it.
EDIT: If I exit all the way out to desktop and restart I don't have any issue.
