"I can say one thing for sure, my OP did what it was supposed to do, got the crybabies undies in a bunch, just look at yourselves. Hook, line and sinker."
So basically you're trolling a forum because you believe your opinion is valid and everyone else can go screw themselves. OK I'll throw my 10 cents in.
I've just turned 60, and have been ill and unable to work for the past 20 years. The "just 20 bucks (actually a wee bit more in the UK) is 15% of my money over 2 weeks. Problem being that 80% of my money goes on utility bills, rent and food.
I'm not asking for anything from Funcom and realise that like every company they are out to make a buck.
I got the original game for free in a Humble Bundle pack that a friend got be for a birthday. Using mods I was able to find ways to compensate for my poor reactions, stiff joints and poor eyesight, racking up 1600 hours in the game.
This update has temporarily put an end to that although the modders are doing great work updating and I'm a patient man. My concern is that this update was not necessary for those of us not getting Siptah. I would have liked the chance to opt out until I maybe can afford it staying with the old game, long standing bugs and all.
As with all of Funcoms updates this has caused more problems including missing religion teachers and others. We still have the flying Rhino's, thrall sinking, pets running uphill on level ground, missing surface collision around the mounds of the dead and too many more to catalogue.
As I said, I'm a patient man but my patience is wearing thin with a company that is increasing favouring the PVP community over the PVE single players. Enough said, I'm sure that I'll be back up properly thanks to those great modders, but please try to take a more balanced view ;-)
Consumer may be a C-word...but Computing is not.
New icing that continues coming out that fixes some parts of the cake but breaks others...is simply a joke...and those that complain are doing a public service by laughing at those that swallow it.
so your goal was to troll. got it. hook, line and sinker
It's so much that, yes ! :D
Personnally, I saw today 100GB update, no space disk !
GNNNIIIIIIIIIII O_o
Well, just checked which games I have installed & not played yet.
Uninstalled 2 of them, problem solved.
Adult way.
Not like so many others crying babies. ^_^
I'm also going to have to agree with the opinions ive seen people post about online this week, that the surge method for gathering thralls making the world feel empty is another huge red flag for me. I love the style of the exiled lands map where you have all these little settlements & factions with their own unique stories everywhere(summoning place is one of my favs to visit).
All the video reviews I've seen of this just feels like its a badly copy & pasted attempt to cash in on fortnite style PVP, which doesnt lend itself to the conan mythos at all.
Hopefully they take this to heart and we see some changes before it releases, but I'm not hopeful given this is what was focused on for a new map. Seems like a Ten Cent focus change to me tbh.
Your attitude could use a little work
Don't knock it till you've tried it. Most of those reviews haven't actually seen the content the isle has to offer. The mechanics for getting thralls when solo on siptah is a real challenge. I don't think I'll be able to go back to playing on exiled lands after this. Its too boring and easy. I mean my normal single player game on exiled i never even went looking for resources. I just set up house near a good spot for thralls and get all my hardened steel bars off things i kill. Star metal was the only thing i ever had to actually harvest. On siptah i'm forced to actually harvest resources from the environment.
To get a decent production thrall i need to fight some serious monsters to gather the right resources to summon thralls of a decent level and then i could still screw it up and have to start again. Not to mention all the other bits and pieces that i dont even know the purpose of yet. I've unlocked a couple of buildings i don't know where to get the resources for or what they do.
The different mechanics of the map are what makes it excellent. There's more to it than most reviews are letting on. And i don't even have the faintest idea what to do about the tower yet, but if the trailer is anything to go by i expect to have to fight the avatar of yog to finish this thing.
The map to me is just an interesting place to build, I likely won't ever play it, but can see the value to pvpers.
