The 69.1 GB update??
So, I waited for a whole week for the 69.1 GB update that i cant access?? Is it possible to just remove all DLC assets that I don't own? I get that they are improving the game and all but the sheer size of the entire game now is just ridiculous (-_-)

You have to download it all. Total size on disk 104gb. Remember steam is a broadband service.

The game is primarily multiplayer designed to be played on servers. You need the dlc's to be able to see what others have built / worn with them. Single player is really a server just for you.

You think this is bad, ARK: Survival Evolved takes well over 200 GB at this point, I had to uninstall that since it was starting to get so bloated, I'd assume the reason the PC versions of both ARK and Conan are larger than their console counterparts (both are still quite big on console though), is in part due to mod support.

You have to download that which you don't own so it can be dangled in front of your face while players are on servers in order to increase sales from the impulse buyers.

If you look at the install directory...nearly everything is in ConanSandbox...75gb or so in GraniteSDK...and 25gb or so in Paks...no way to distinguish the files from one another...they are not broken down in that way in each directory...so deleting what you will not use is not an option.

If you want a good laugh...take a look in the Movies directory...3 versions per movie...PC, PS4 and Xbox...as if the PC could not play either of the other 2 versions...lol...take this into account when trying to understand the size of the game...maybe there are 3 versions of each asset and you have to have all 3 taking up space on your drive. (doubtful, just a tongue in cheek thought)

Sigh....but we will grin and bear it...Moddable Nudie CraftSouls is too awesome a concept to walk away from. :steamhappy:

BTW...I am sorry to hear how much your ISP throttled you while you were downloading...you might want to consider shopping around for another one...hopefully they don't have a monopoly in your area.

You own around 40 GB of those 60 GB, the remaining 20 GB are Siptah.

Yep. Cause most of ARK's DLC bloat is in the maps and if you arent playing on a DLC map then you dont need them installed and can cut the install size down significantly by simply removing the unused map bloat..
