Other mounts than just horses?

What about existing creatures? Tiger as a mount in Conan world would be cool I think.

So far the Dev's have stated it will be just horses on the update.

Normally aside from horses, other mounts in the Hyborian Age would typically be elephants and camels, (As would normally be currently in the real world).

Although I agree others such as tigers, lions, hyenas, rhinos, elk, deer, gorillas, crocodiles and whatever else we can dream up as we see them would be "cool' ... I just don't think they would suit that purpose lore wise in the Hyborian Age.

The most recent Dev Video Blog said they were shooting for early-mid December (of 2019).

Given the source material (that the game draws from). Horses would make sense, as would Camels. Elephants probably.

Other stuff ... ennh.... not so much.

If they have any sense (and they do) they will make special mounts linked to DLC packs, ongoing development costs money.

Camels would be ok with me. But war elephants ? Naw ! I would rather see an ESO approach from the devs. Where you can leave the Exiled lands and keep going to other lands. Conan had to come from somewhere !

Elephants are pretty slow and should be if they are a mount. Because of this, they are not that OP for PvP as long as you limit what they can destroy of a base. You would use them as a tank and for carrying stuff.

Being able to ride an elephant would be cool.

I might be happy with just horse skins over the basic model. Let me ride a zebra. Or a huge donkey. Or an emaciated baby elephant.

And maybe the option for really terrible other skins, like leggy long-face tigers and crocodiles that are way too tall and tailless.. The humor alone could fuel me for months.
