How do I turn wood into dry wood and resin at my dryer?

Hi! I read that apparently you can turn wood into resin and dry wood at a dryer but when I put wood in my dryer nothing happens?

How do you make resin? I put in around 300-400 wood there but it only makes it dry!

You get 1 resin with each dry wood you make. Also the trees up north in the hioghlands will give resin when you chop wood.

I dried several hundred wood yesterday south of the beginners river and I got 0 resin there. Today I moved my camp a lot more north and now it started giving resin when I tried to dry two wood-pieces I had just aquired...!

Does that mean drying wood only from certain areas give resin? Or does resin only start appearing in the dryer after you unlock a certain feat?

You should get resin from any wood you dry. I have dried tons of wood from the starter area for resin no issues. Are you running any mods? could be a mod that is changing it.
