Pending connection failure

Could not connect to server. Your connection to the host has been lost.

That's what I've been seeing on the last 15 servers I've tried. (counted)

All private servers
All with less than 110 pings
Most were modded
Some were heavily modded
A few were not modded at all.
I can connect to my Ex GFs old favorite server which runs Pippi and Calamitous. (Valhalla- Age of Calamitous) Don't want to play with my Exs friends
I can connect to another server which runs Calamitous and 4 other mods I can't recall. (Athena's Server)Always empty
I can connect to Rise of Nations which runs no mods. I want to play with Calamitous

I've tried several tips I've read on fixing connection issues but with no success. Tweaking the ping on some settings in the steam overlay for ping for example.

A direct connect, clicking on the server in the browser, clicking a link like steam://connect/192.154.213.12:27015
and joining a game by piggy backing on another player who was also on the server I wanted to join. They all have the same results.

So, any suggestions?

Hello friend, i also have the same problem.

I can connect to an old server i hated it for abusive admins but i cant connect my rented one. This is very weird.

We're playing co-op with my friends, i am the host (Europe) and one friend from America can not join us. Same issue, yes.

Some people refer the problem source being discord and if you close it before you start the game and connect the server you won't encounter it (Not tested, just what i've heard)

Well i have a mostly empty server with 12 slots which is mostly pve x4 gather rates and x1 xp rate, atlantean myth based you are free to go there

I can join a couple of servers, just not the ones I want. Again, all with good ping (time between my pc and the server if you didn't know, meaning less lag in a manner of speaking), some with mods, some without.

I figured I'd try an official but all the ones that show up on the server listing window have pings of 200 or more. I'm sure there are others with better ping, but they don't show for me.

Try using CCleaner and clear the registry and broken entries along with temporal files.

If it doesnt work maybe its not your fault but steam's fault.

Tried CCleaner, ran it, no good. Did clean out a lot of junk though.

Guess I could play solo if I really want to play with Calamitous, but this one is definitely not any fun without others. Oh well.

Sorry to hear that; to me it feels like its a problem with steam server directory protocols not servicing correctly.

Have you tried using the Steam Server Window? Not sure if it will help, but I find that it's better for browsing the sever options at the very least.

Steam, then View, then Servers.

Just tried that, I thought it was working, but eventually Failed to connect to selected server. Took much longer than the other ways which got my hopes up that it was working but no,,.

Anyway, at least you reccomended something different that did something different.

Seems this was an issue for Xbox at the beginning of the year.

Anyway, I haven't gotten any help from the official avenues either. Youtube has let me down and google is of no help, it's the first thing I tried.

Guess I just go play on a dead server.

I am having the same issue here. On 2 PCs in the same house. We both have good ping, the server is up to date and valid.

We have tried closing Discord.

I can't think what it could be for us both to have the same problem.

I hope it gets sorted soon, I don't want to lose our bases and thralls.

I FINALLY broke down and did as Failcoms support suggested, uninstalled completely, every trace of Conan and redownloaded. Guess what?

Fix yer ♥♥♥♥, actually no don't fix it. Phuque it, just uninstall and move on. Like what a lot of other folks are going to be doing because I'm positive, as some in this thread are having the same issue, that many more are having it as well and Funcom's support is garbage.

I uninstalled a few days after my last post and haven't looked back. Failcom didn't/doesn't know nor care what the issue is and don't seem to want to fix it. No loss, off to better games. Ark may not have as pretty characters or bewbs but everything else is superior, Empyrion has spaceships and evs that actually listen.

So I asked myself, why bother with Conan? So, I uninstalled.
