Water Wells
Is there a bug with the small water well?

Only at the moment if I place a well, I can use it fine no problem.

However if I log out and back in again, the well is dry, and doesn't refill again, no matter how long I play online.

I have to destroy and replace wells at the moment.

Large one seems okay.

While browsing mods, I have seen some of them have comments of people reporting they brake wells - among other things, of course.

I've had this issue off and on, and so did my GF when she played on my account. She discovered building it on a foundation fixed it. Its worked for me as well.

Really? I have to try that. I have given up on wells for the moment and gone with the Mitra fountains which are also a bit buggy, as they are filled with water but it is darn hard to actually get the water out.

I am going to give the well on the foundation thing a try.

Cool. Thanks for that info everyone.

Going to give the small well on a foundation a try.

Wasnt this fix supposed to have been pushed onto live servers with the last build? I'm pretty certain it was in the update notes...

Either way, I've still got the same issue on wells placed without foundations. The Mitra wells are also very tricky. Drinking from it requires precision and filling a vessel is even tougher.

Using a foundation worked for us, hopefully it'll work for you.

What prompted me to use a foundation wasn't really my GFs,,, well Ex GFs advice, it was just random crap dissapearing when I tried to put stuf down. Wells cost a lot of resources, or did, so I figured dropping it on a foundation, that and everythign else I built, was a good idea.

DO you have any problem actually being able to get the water from the fountain? We can't seem to be able to access the water. It is running and filled, but can't get any water from it.

Out of the generic well, no it works fine.

I've not built the big well or the religion well in a really long time except one that someone else has put down and they work.

Well, we just built a regular well on some foundations, let's see if it goes dry or not. Hoping it works.
crgzero Sep 12, 2018 @ 8:53pm
Work?
matke587 Sep 12, 2018 @ 9:52pm
Just done an experiment. Built two wells. One on a foundation and one on the ground.

Logged off then back in again. The one on the foundation is working, the one on the ground is dry.

Thanks everyone for that tip :)

I find using a waterskin in my inventory when standing next to a water well works every time. Regardless if that waterskin is in a hot bar or just in inventory.

Whereas if I'm trying to actually like drink or use a water well it may or may not work and that is regardless if on a foundation or not. Same goes for the Mitra refreshment statue ... which I can walk through.

If you can walk through scenery like that then something is very wrong.
