Fast travel with thralls

I got the recipe for the map room and started thinking about the map as a whole..

I wondered if I could take the thralls I caught with me through fast travel, when I wanted to make a new base..

Also is building a base close to an obelisk worth it? To make it really useful one would need to build two bases relatively close to two obelisks, each base having a map room..

I doubt you could take a thrall with you through it. and if PVE or solo maybe, but on pvp you just made your base next to a highway basically...

To make it really useful you need a base + maproom at every obelisk, and the means to defend it.

We're on a private PvE server and are 3-4 guys so defending and building next to a highway wouldn't mean a problem for us.. What bugs me is the means of resources, water especially, as well as things to do (NPC camps, looting spots, whatever)
