The answer is no
Only one character.
Dang and idc if he knows im on another character he just likes to progress at same time and i was just gonna ♥♥♥♥ about on a new character and explore and wander.
And the map is pretty static, so you can use the new save to explore the map if you want.
Basically, as long as you're fine with one map for single player, and one map for co-op, then all you have to do is cut and paste the "Saved" folder as required.
This is Bethesda all over again.
Make it a single player only option?
Only one character per server. Make different character on a different server.
