Thanks anyway
Like I must test the endless items in all the crafting devices because there are no recipes.. lmao
A game cant NEED google, wikis are helpful in games as Final Fantasy but not mandatory..
i think from playing around,
T1 - sandstone
T2 - Stone Brick / Insulated wood
T3 - Reinforced stone brick / Black Ice
I think it goes like that, i even think black ice is a bit stronger i think...
but black ice is harder to get imo, cause you have to venture WAY north to get it
insolated wood and black ice are for cold areas because they have cold protect.
these lables are on the item information once the part has been crafted.
the effect has been reduced so some people will say it no longer matters,
but back when these were introduced the wrong material in the wrong area could kill your character.
"A game can't need google." obviously you never did investigation missions in secret world. If you figured out some of those without google, which the "Do you want help" icon actually sent you to. Then kudos to you. That egyptian one with authentic hyroglyphics was a nightmare.
And black ice is much easier and quicker to come by because you can just mine thousands of it easily. Hardened bricks need an annoying production chain and various resources and a lot of time to produce.
Keep in mind that one cools you down (bricks) and the other warms you up (black ice), so you probably don't want to use black ice in the warm areas of the map.
You don't need google for conan, it is designed with trial and error in place, much like minecraft was is its infancy. Exploration, trial and error. OP said google shouldn't be needed for a game. Well, if you can play secret world without googling a single investigation mission, which someone did originally, then kudos to you.
the people who thought up Google and Wiki ...should have been hanged.
I see.
I am not used to this. I have 2.500 hours in Final Fantasy and played other MMO's, maybe some recipes are hard to get but it's all in the game and your investigation inside the game have sense.
No.
Some games I know have "trial and error" quests but not all the game works like that, and as I said, everything have a logic.
What is the food system for?
Why you need decoration items for making war explosives? how can I imagine that I will need a decoration item to make explosives?...
But I need decorative vases to create explosives. Where is the logic? Not even making a perfect choice of mining skills will I succeed, because the game is illogical.
Suppose another person makes the vases, that person has stopped learning other things to make vases and possibly other decorative items. How long can you be making vases without taking a potion to forget and learn other things? And when you finally do it, you remember that you need the vases, and you're taking the potion all the time. Has no sense. A market could givea purpose to everything, since a person could earn gold or silver coins and buy weapons or other items that someone else makes, in addition to selling what she makes clear.
About the food system. They have to drastically lower the loot chance. And remove the decay.
Each plate of food must have a clear and useful purpose. For example "stamina infinite for 30 minutes". Etc. Again a market could give sense to this (only in multiplayer)
If it is trial and error, why the recipes do not appear in a list when you discover them? We are in the age of computers should I take notes with a paper and a pencil? I feel that the game is not finished ...
I need to do more testing to make sure it wasn't just a statistical fluke, but it appears T3 Black-Ice building pieces are more tool and time efficient than T3 Stone pieces. When I say more efficient, I mean it takes fewer swings of your tool to get the same amount of Black-Ice building pieces.
Less swings means less tool repair and less time to harvest.
Before the wipe it was hands down Black-Ice by a factor of roughly 8.5 !!! That's right, you got 8.5 times the T3 Black-Ice pieces compared to T3 Stone for the same amount of farming. After wipe it was reduced to a lot lower efficiency but appears that Black-Ice still comes out on top. However like I said I need to test more to be 100% certain.
