How do I use the featured Admin Panel cheats in singleplayer mode in this game without making the game too easy to conquer?

Do you mean what server setting should you have? Because if you mean, how do you cheat using god mode and not make it too easy, I don't have an answer for you :p

What are you trying to do? I tend to use the admin panel only when encountering a bug issue. Stuck on a pole and cant get up or down (disconnecting didn't free me).

Body is stuck under terrain or structure and can't be reached, etc. My well after 3-4 hours REAL time fails to fill, I want my materials back or a replacment. These are valid reasons in my opion.

Pretty much boils down to self control. Ask yourself honestly. If I was playing with someone else in a life or death situation, would this action be justifiable. It's a slippery slope thing. I can tell you this. Just summoning in anything you want will likely not make the game more enjoyable.

Yeah, when I'm in the mood to test something, I normally just rename my Saved folder and let the game create a new Test character and go wild there... after I'm satisfied with the tests I just delete that and rename back my original Saved and keep playing normally.


I mostly use it for when I'd I like trying to build something in some place and not have to do trial and error to check where to put stuff and layout the place... even with Pickup+ there's a point where if you already placed a ton of building items and you realized that you screwed up, it's too late to change it :P

I'm talking about making the game's challenge quality balanced and using sensable survival helping cheats in the Admin Panel basicly.

I'd say that giving yourself stats like Strenght or Encumbrance (if you don't want to mess with mods) is a good way of balancing stuff up.

Just don't spawn items... and don't use God or Invisible modes for normal play (at least IMO), and that should do it.

Also, you could disable hunger and thirst too, and that should be fair game... since they don't add much to the solo player experience (I mean, food is plenty and once you have your base water is not an issue...)

Sadly, you can't control the temperature system with the admin panel, so that'd need a mod if you want to tweak it.

Other than that, I cannot think of anything more... just avoid spawning items, mostly... that's the worst thing to do if you want to enjoy the game... at least, again, IMO.

Are you talking like reducing the amount of resources (making it take longer to respawn) or increase the duration between spawn of NPCs? Because with resources you reduce (move left) to make them spawn slower, where as NPCs you move the slider right to make them respawn slower because the universe is a Chaotic place.

Don't even get me started on Sliders.

I will just use the Admin Panel at specific times in the game very moderately in singleplayer mode in the game in a reasonable way.
