Giant Scorpions.......

how do you kill giant scorpions... spent at least 5 minutes attacking the thing and its health bar never moved a millimeter......gave up finally and had to climb a cliff to get away from it.
(using Stygian Khopesh and an iron targe)

theyre for max lvl ppl to kill, drops keys to the lvl 60 chests near them

There are multiple types of scorpions, but I have a feeling you attacked the big black one. That is a world boss.

If you feel like making the trek to the jungle, there are lizard rhino things (reptilian abomination?) that drop both thick and normal hide. You can kill them with stone daggers, but iron poniards does it faster. Just avoid the charge.

Yep, if you follow the river it'll guide you there pretty easily, but there's a couple panthers around the entrance so keep an eye out. They don't hit super hard, but they're fast.

I tackle elephants for thick hide. There are a few up on the side of the savanah (the yellow area in the north). Equip many aloe vera potions and bandages. They are pretty tough and so is the journey. Use a skinning kife for about 30+ hides... iron weapons will just about do them. Isolate the ones at the sides and take them down!

would it not just be easier to get the steel weapons first and worry about armour 2nd?.
tar brimstone for steelfire and then iron for the steel bars no?!!.. and yes that scorpion near the cliff leading to tower of bats is a world boss he guards a lvl60 chest. good luck and happy gaming

Iron is only a hair breath more useful than stone when you're going up against a "world" boss and that ain't saying much.
The only way I killed that S.O.B. was lure it to a spot where I could shoot at it and it couldn't touch me. The only problem is, you can only shoot a couple of times before it takes no more damage, so you have to wait about 10-15 seconds to take another shot. It will eventually kill it and you'll get a luscious skeleton key you can't use until you're level 60 because that key unlocks a special chest (usually near the boss where you kill it) holding a legendary weapon.

This F*king unkillable scorpion also sometimes spawns in cleansing in desert area. Right now i had to just sit and watch as my base got demolished by it. Named Archer thrall, Archeronian pike, Snake arrows, gas grenades even freaking explosive barrel - nothing works.
