Its dumb I cant track him in the map.
Just come back he was still alive fighting. A lot of mobs sorrounded me in Unnamed City and lost him again, now I cant find it.
It was a named Warrior with the best gear and best weapon I can make.
Hardened Steel etc. Lost it all... because there is no freaking dot in the map telling me where the Thrall is
If you run in a straight line from where your death point is to your base, you will run into them.
After all his owner is dead and he just saw freedom and went for it can ya blame him? Especially after you gave him good gear he has more of a chance for survival.
Well the one time I died I saw my thalll walking towards my home base real slowly, had to stop them and put them back on follow. This was single player and I didn't repeat to confirm but it makes sense.
I'm guessing it works the same as thralls that attack monsters, they attack the monster and after it's dead they return to their planted point.
There is no way to track them, no one knows with certainty what happens when you die etc.
I brought her on purpose for KO-ing npc but I was ganked by those 5 after I climbed a cliff I arrived at where those 5 npcs at.
Is there no way to get missing thrall back ?
To my complete delight when I came back to my Desert Base near the Darfari Ritual Site, I found both of my bearer's waiting for me! At the last place I parked them.
LOL man 2018 post
are you ok?
So if you ordered them to guard, before you died, this is considered the "home" for them. I can only speak for singleplayer, but I think they just technically teleport to the last guard-position.
In any case, I didn't run into my thrall, walking or jogging, when I returend to my corpse, yet. But when I reached the position in time, they're still there. Though, NOT walking but standing, and perhaps fighting, if enemies are near. But if you leave them out of render-range and they DID live, when you died, they WILL get home (e. g. to the last "guard"-spot) eventually.
It may be a real walk home, if you play on a dense populated server and they get rendered theoretically until they reach "their" home. I don't realy know.
As I said, their last "guard" position. Order to stop or stop follow is NOT an order to guard. You can see this, by the stance they have: "scouting" is holding position until the time comes to get home. But if they're "guarding", they ARE ALREADY at home.
As long as they are in render-range. "scouting" will hold position infinitly afaik. If you get out of render-range, they will get home 15 Minutes later. At least, this is, what I did read. Maybe, there are server-settings, which can change this. I didn't realy bother to check.
With the new sorcerey, however, there are special followers: the summoned mounts will break bond with you eventually - at least at vanilla settings. If the Rhino is near your allies, it will attack, then. I don't know, what the horse will do, I thnik, it will just vanish.
The same goes for the summoned fighter-demon. (at the circle of power.) The mounts don't even have an inventory. The demon have one, and also will level up, if it is following you. But if it doesn't fight, if will break bond and start attacking. The same is true, if you die. If you play in multiplayer and a player was with you, it may attack the other player.
If you play in SP, it will vanish.
And if you just have it on follow, but it will ge out of render-range (can happen, if you summon the bat) then it will vanish, too. Other pets just get teleported to you. Carefull: you will get teh message, that the demon died. But in reality, it did break the bond. So if there are any allies near it, it will attck them. I don't know, if it has some hidden advantages, if you corrupted your authority, undtil the last perk "demon master". Maybe it will get a little more peaceful, then. At least the bat will fly (feeled) 2 times longer, if you have that perk.)
the perk will negate at least "war party", but you will summon temporary demons of all kinds, if you do damage. This is regardless of ranged or melee-damage. (I didn't skill "well trained", yet, so I don't know, if that is negated, too..). Those demons are considered enemies by your followers, however (even if you have a summoned demon with you) and they will attack them. Although they wont fight back and vanish a few seconds later. I don't find that perk so bad, as it has some hidden advantages, like a much longer flight-time with the bat-demon.
Grave-summoned-zombies will stay 24 hours afaik. (can also depend on thrall-decay-settings) and then die... again. (there are also spell-summoned Zombies.. With the fog-spell.)
