Looking for flat land
I am currently looking for a somewhat flat land so I can build a massive temple in singleplayer (once I can keep progress, so maybe after another hotfix) that encompass all religions' altars.

So far, I've seen a decent place in the highlands, although I have to stack up to three if not four foundation to even out the terrain. What are the places you know?

There's a desert east of Sepermeru / south of the obelisk that should be big enough - flat as a pancake. Also at H5/6 map grid.
You can also build vertically - spread 8 horisontally or 10 vertically. Could be awesome.

Thank you for the tips. I'm not sure I understand what you mean with your last line though. Could you elaborate? It sounds interesting.

With foundations you dont need the ground to be as flat as you might think at first. You can raise and lower them when placing. Place the first one as high as you can and build your first layer off that. Most areas in the game can be flattened with 2 layers at most for as big an area as you could need.

It's near a big tree, close to an oasis, right? It's pretty close to my usual starting base (such easy access to basic resources and especially various T4 thralls).

That's what I thought at first. But then I tried to build walls around a relatively flat area in the highlands and some places needed 3 if not 4 foundations high whereas another area connected only had one. =/

@OP: The minimal horisontal distance between shrines is 8 foundations. The minimal vertical distance is 10 foundations.
So you can build a really large temple with all the shrines at the same height OR you can build a VERY tall tower.
Also you can mix the two styles :). Set and Ymir I think for some reason belong in caves, so I build those inside something. Mitra should be really high up and open to the sky (sun/fire oriented). Derketo in some really opulent room, Jebal Sag on the ground open to the sky in some forest/savanna place. Yog on top on something and open to the sky (like some of the historical irl temples with human sacrifice. Just my two cents :) .
Re using foundations to smooth the terrain: Use pillars and ceilings instead - requires less mats as soon as the height exceeds 2. Close The sides with walls or foundations if you don't wanna look at all the stilts.

Your two cents are worth more than that. Thank you for your ideas! I appreciate it.

Initially I wanted to put all altars at an equal footing since it's probably gonna be a Safe Haven of some sort on a RP server with gates that I'll open up when all will be ready. I did wanted to include Crom even if there is no altar nor reward for praying him. Without Crom it's easy to do six circle in an hexagonal pattern around a central place/entrance by elevator or stairs, but for seven gods it get trickier. I mostly want to avoid insulting the more hardcore followers (beyond the fact that the place will regroup all deities of course). Separate environment are a great ideas, I'm just afraid that some might see this as a affront to put Mitra higher than Set even if it's thematic.

A condominium for shrines???

How excessively progressive un-conan.

Haha! I know how unnatural this is. My goal is to build a safe haven for weary exiles to catch their breath and enjoy a moment of tranquillity.

No, it’s a big sandy area, has a boss scorpion close and a small low T camp close, and has a large deposits of iron

Oh, you are right. I mistaken part of G4-G4 to your spot. It is indeed relatively flat. Thank you.
