Report a translation problem
She did do some scans yesterday after she started seeing that. She did have a PUPLoader somewhere but I didn't think to ask here where.
Oh oh ... . I actually had problems with my computer mouse yesterday. Windows opened that I hadn't clicked.
But I can't believe that a reputable game developer does that. That would be suicide.
If this helps in any way to ease your minds,
The same thing has been happening with this machine while connected to Steam and in the game. But it doesn't happen consistently as if my machine had been hijacked. (I remember an incident from many years ago when my machine was hijacked during a chat session. It's something I'll never forget).
However, I've seen this happen on one of my other PCs but while using a translator program that wasn't connected to Steam or the game. Also during another occasion when I was trying to log into my server control panel while using the other machine and it's hooked up to the internet via totally separate IP.
But I do strongly suspect it may have something more to do with the recent Windows 10 updates.
