2-Yes, you can use the admin panel to respawn the Follower. Set the Follower to follow you, than type in the CMD (Insert or ~ to access)
LevelFollowerUpTo (insert level here)
Example --->
Keep in mind that the stats will be random. So they won't have exactly the same stats as before. Up to you on how you want to deal with that. You can also, obviously, respawn the gear they lost too.
What you say is basically getting yourself a new follower, not getting the old one back. Does that mean nothing really has been done in that field? Kinda hard to believe i'm the only guy who figured out how to raise your follower from the dead with their stats and perks and maybe, if i dig a bit deeper, with their equipment too.
Probably a way to do it by digging through the actual database file. I just offered the quickest solution and answered your question to what I know. Guess you have it handled though.
Appreciate your answer though, so far you are the only person who replied at all.
Thankfully, i was playing solo and found that the game makes a ton of backups, like your current play session is backed up every 5 minutes and there's a few backups from previous play sessions too. So for solo game you just immediately quit, go to save folder, delete your current game.db and then rename your nearest backup to game.db which makes the whole world go for up to 5 minutes back and respawns every hostile creature in the world.
If dedicated servers create just the same amount of backups and you only play with your friends and family then it shouldn't be much of a problem either.
Back when i created this thread i totally missed the window because i spent 2 hours searching for a way with my game still running in background so i lost my nearest backups and only had one from the day before. Found a free tool that opens db files but it was so lame it wouldn't let copy and paste blocks of data so i had to export everything in SQL file then manually dig for thrall's ID and everything related to that ID then separate it in the new SQL file and inject it in my latest game.db file. That worked and i brought my guy back to life with his perks, stats and everything, sure, he lost a few levels he got that day but it was him and not a replacement copy.

and jump back in time per block of 5 minutes in your save by removing the file "game" and as many game_backup_x as you want depending on the time at wich you want to go back to.
Then change the name of the desired file to "game" and you are ready to go
I did not know about this and it worked perfectly. Thank you!
P.S.: just look how my thread is still alive three years later! Take care of your thralls folks and they will take care of you!
was dead 13 months till it got necroed
...turns out, my thrall doesn't spawn with the game. Have they been disconnected as followers from the game file somehow? Suppose I best run back to camp and see if he's there. All these bugs, all these lost efforts.
If the event log doesn't say what they died to, they probably got stuck and bugged out somehow. This happens to me extremely rarely, and mostly in dungeons. Thralls do take damage from environment, although the pathfinding should be written in a way that makes them avoid it. If you died to lava for example, its possible that your thrall followed you into the lava and died to it just as well.
- If your character dies while you had a thrall on follow, the thrall will stop following you and just stand still where they were at the time. Eventually (like 15 mins? not sure) they will teleport back to the place you last ordered them to guard. Usually your base that is. So its important to "place and guard" a thrall to a safe place. Also try to avoid placing them to guard in the middle of nowhere. Instead use the "stop following" command if you need it.
- You can go to your followers tab and click the eye icon to have the thrall show up on your map as an icon, if you are unsure where they are. All live thralls should be on the list. If you had a thrall that doesn't show up on it, its dead.
If you don't mind gruesomely slitting throats of bound and naked people, you could learn sorcery and specifically upgrade your Tome of Kurak until you know how to build
"circle of power".
This sorcery crafting station has a spell called "corpse recall". If you happen to die, in dungeon or anywhere, you can go to the circle and perform the corpse recall. This will teleport your corpse and everything its carrying to the circle, and you can pick up all the stuff you would've otherwise lost from your corpse. This works even if you die in a dungeon. (obviously build it near your bed)
Kurak is basically a raid boss. There are people who can solo it, but I wouldn't recommend it.
