but if you pull the repairkit onto the item in the blacksmith bench it should start to repair it , but not worth it, exceptional hunter bow to repair you gonna need 3 from the iron one to fully repair it, that is 24 iron for a t1 bow :D
don't have thralls yet , but if they make crafting cheaper then still no point to make these repair kits, only armor kits maybe be useful since armors are heavy
Well, it means i can use kits only in workbench(that's where i put prefessional thralls in). In the meantime, it costs more materials. Does it make sense? lol.
You can repair items in your inventory - no need of crafting stations. But cost of repair with those new kits are really messed up. Exp.: 80% broken light helmet (turban) repair cost - 8 fiber. Repair cost with kits - 4x lvl1 kit (20%) = 20 fiber and 4 twine. And I do not know if it will be 100% fixed.
Suggestion - make all items correspond to certain grade - 1st: stone weapons/Coarse; 2nd: iron weapons/light armors and so on. Then put in special repair kits for every grade with reasonable price. And make them to repair 100% of chosen item - no mather how much it was broken.
For now I still need to carry resources with me and I can repair even 100% broken items.
You can only repair if you have the recipe learned.
Yes I know. The purpose of these kits is to free up inventory space from carrying lots of repair materials with you. If you don't have recipe learned then for example it would cost x2-5 more kits to fully repair and thats would be ok.
1) You can repair things without recipes
2) You can repair expensive items with not expensive materials - for example t2 repair kit for weapons require only 8 iron bars and it repairs item to (about)25% it's cool
3) You don't need to carry tons of materials with you
I agree, repair kits have some great advantages, one of them is being able to repair gear you dont have the recipe. You dont need to carry a ton different materials and as mentioned you can repair gear that takes expensive materials, like silk, with more basic materials.
Also high tier thralls will make kits with even less materials, Im loving them, I just wish the lower level kits would be more efficient. Im able to make the first two kits, cant say for the higher tiers, but the first one is almost not worth because it keeps the gear at so low durability its almost unusable. But then again, it only takes stone..
