how can i convert star metal from star metal ore ?

been looking for all the hidden lore and such never seen that phase though, I've only found Star metal on Npcs, seen 1 group fly over head once about it.

This is stupid, this game shouldn't require you to source information from 3rd party sites like wiki just to learn recipe's you pay to unlock at high levels. nowhere in game does it tell you how to create star metal ingots, and quite frankly im getting sick of this games attitude to find out how it works and not explaining what the item or ability does in proper scope. they have created this detailed world then left half the functions out and there is zero help when it comes to figuring out what requires what to build something in some cases, then they set resources ridiculiously over the map and deprive the player of finding nessaesary resources to progress in the game. creating HANDBRAKES every tier. I mean brimstone its a mid level resource yet you can't mine it anywhere except on a few mobs that drop more useless low level resource then brimstone.

I spend 13 points unlocking this crap epic armor at 60th, i mine the metal now im suppose to guess it requires 2 other resources and a booklet from wikipedia to learn how to use these crapy durability items that will probably look the same.

Seriously is there anything else you require to make this. some 4th tier named stooge that only makes starrmetal because his's Conan's Dads ghost!.

Tons of Brimstone in a few caves across noob river north

OK thanks for the tip on brimstone, i must run into every cave that isn't then, because it's always either crystal or silk in all the cave's ive visted.
As for Starmetal unless you have an Ingot to get the infromation discription nowhere does it state in feats or under any of the requirements does it state the nessesary ingrediants needed to craft Starmetal, thats why i asked, since i haven't crafted it or found an ingot to get a description.
If im wrong then why did this person start the thread asking the same question. I don't see why they don't have a complete ingame beastary listing of all the monsters, thralls and items in full discription and the requirements after unlocking them.

Yeah I can confirm that there is a ton of brimstone inside the cave with the giant alligator boss just north of the southern river. There's also a bunch of blue goop stuff that I haven't figured out what it's for yet.

i don't mean the description of a Starmetal ingot, the ORE has the description i quoted.

Now if you had complained about how to mine the ore, well, you may be right. I can't remember any hints, telling you to blast the shell off to actually get the ore.

There are a few of them big boss mobs around, i killed two by Priest Kings Retreat, sometimes i get a dupilicate spawn after hitting a creature, But i think i know the place your talking about, i've usually run past it on the way up north.

The pond behind the character has a spawn point for those croc boss mobs.
And bad luck kid's i ain't censoring it, this is an adult game with adult content.

If you're up in that area, probably the Shattered Springs are closer to you... they're on the area near Klael Stronghold past the ridge behind your character towards the west of the map, but not that close to the edge... somewhat mid range from it and the place where you are in the pic.

As for the caves, the one with brimstone are both close to the Sentinels in the South river... one is Gallamans Tomb and the other is Sinner's Refuge. There a third one if you move near to the black galleon area, called Deathwhisper ruins that also has brimstone in it... but also spiders, lots of them and some skeletons.

EDIT: Now that I look better, I might be confused with the orientation... and perhaps is not the place I thought of at first... if that's the case, ignore the Shattered Springs suggestion!

EDIT2: I can make a small map to show where those places are, if you want... once I can start playing the game tonight in a bit more :)
