How do you make honey

I've built an apiary, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what I'm supposed to actually do with it.

it's entirely passive, just wait, and it'll create honey over time, no need to do anything to it like find bees to add or anything.

Did you add bees? also no thralls, just lazy coding, all "stations" have it.
