How do shellfish traps work?

So we have 4 of them, do they work less efficiently if you have tons of them close to each other or is the more the better?

They work all the same place under water and Bam it set or ichtor and food

There is few places that it just not working at the moment like part of the river at the west side of the north and few other river as they not set "deep" the rivers I think they know about it

They operate independantly. They each collect fish automtically. If you want more fish, put down more traps.

Well depends on location as well some north bases they have to be very deep to work

also use the auto align feature. I had the same issue and thought had to go to bottom of river or pond.... Turned out they work just fine on the shore so can reach easy IF you use auto align lol I have 10 crab pots and 10 fish traps right up on shore "in water of course" and once auto aligned they all set easily.
