Weapons and armor breaking
Usually in these kinds of games weapons and armors break when you have hit enough things with it or you get hit enough times. What I'm really curious about is that will you actually see them break, rather than them just disappearing into another dimension and have them just sit there in your inventory? For example, you hit someone with an iron short sword that's just about to break, it actually breaks in two rather than you just unequipping it. I know shields can be broken, but I just wonder if the same applies to weapons and armor as well.

Also, when I'm now speaking about armors as well, how many slots will there be? Will it be like most survival games, where you got the head, torso, legs, hands and feet, or will it be more MMO like and have a few more slots such as the shoulders as well?

I think they are adding repair benches, so probably will have to repair tools, weapons etc.

I read somewhere that when you die, your gears lose durability.

I thought you drop everything when you die

That too, you need to run back to your corpse.
You'll get to see stuff shatter when they break. And then you can repair it if you have the right crafting ingredients.

Awesome! I have been waiting so long for a game that does this, and I couldn't be happier to see all that waiting was worth it.

Its cool system, but in Darkfall, all top players had multiple top tie gear sets stored in the bank, so it was kind of a burden in the end. Hopefully Funcom is aware of this. Items get broken is cool, but its a joke if one just run back to the bank and hes fully geared again, all the excitement is gone, in Darkfall it was too easy to fill up your bank with top tier gears.

Btw, this is one reason why I think there should be random spawns, if people know where they can farm ingredients, they will do it and fill up their bank and never bother do it again, I personally think this is quite boring.

Does this game have anykind of bank??

There are chests/storage boxes where you can put your stuff. So yes, you can farm resources for a rainy day, much like in ARK, Minecraft and a lot of other survival games.

Hopefully filling up your chest/storage isnt an easy task, or boredom hits like a one ton truck, that means people will leave fast, less people playing your game, less money you get.

This is kind of one reason why I think I like the permadeath endgame idea, so you prepare yourself in PVE servers, aka your storage/chest are full, and you take your stuff to permadeath when you feel like you are ready, but I can quarantee to you, if people farm stuff just for the sake of farming, this game isnt going to last long. You get the idea, right.

I think it sounds so fun, you play on PVE server, when your pile of junk start to pile up, all chest/storages are full, you go to permadeath server and burn them all.

Awesome. I see you spend much more time on details then ark devs which i really welcome. Yea i know i have just to check your characters to know this but these things like seeing breaking weapons matters a lot for me.

Superman, if someone kills you with your gear and you run back to it, im pretty sure they have taken everything from your body :p So having gear in a box isnt negative.

Well it was for me, I played Darkfall, and I had bank full of goodies and at that point the game turned into boredom, sure it was fun a while to get that full bank but after that the boredom hits, its a downer of hell. I really really really hope Funcom takes it further than this, with the idea I gave earlier. There gotta be a place where player can burn all their junk into, from the bank and whats better than Permadeath server or PVP.

Best part of my idea is, it creates the encouragement for replay, so players will spend double or triple more time in the game. Its truly a master piece, even I say it myself. Just perfect for Funcom's small team of 40.

Well, that's Darkfall. And its an MMO.. I dont want to prepare myself in PVE and go to PvP. That would ruin the fun for a lot of PvP players! Its better to make a modded private server that gives you full gear then.

So enlight me, oh wiseone, what happens if I find myself on bad PVP server? I just need to suck it up and stay there forever? In my idea, bad servers dies and are replaced with better high quality of PVP server. Also how this game is going to fight against the cancer of game industry? Aka gank the noob? In my idea, people's practice on PVE server, prepare and them jump into PVP, yet again provides higher quality PVP.

Also my idea creates buzz around the internet, Funcom's reputation is increasing instead of decreasing etc. Also it doubles or even triples the game content, so people will play this longer. It creates meaningful endgame, what people are going to demand anyway. Its just win, win and win and one more time win.¨

I think youre not ready for real PVP. You just want to gank some hopeless noobs and dominate your server with biggest possible guild. Thats sooo low. Btw, why cant you play on private gank the noob server? or dominate server with biggest guild, If thats what you want.
