Max players in CO-OP

Hey everybody! My 2 friends and I were playing coop together and my other 2 friends just bought the game and wanted to join. However, our coop server caps out at 4. Is 4 the maximum?

For co-op yes, the dedicated servers are capped at 70.

Yup, Singleplayer/Co-op mode is capped at 4 players. You can't invite the 5th.

Not 100% sure as I've never played co-op. As far as I know co-op is only played in Single Player mode. When you log out of a SP co-op game the game pauses/stops until you log back in. Your co-op followers also have to leave the game.

A dedicated server is separate PC hosting the game through a server program. When you log out of a hosted server game, the game continues to run and all other players stay in the game.

coop have moving ring with radius of 50m +- loading map content , the same ring holds other players on leach and spawn them on host head while server generates whole biomes when wisited and respawns players at chosen point.
in short gives players more freedom and is more a pain in ass for hosting & modding + have more slots.
