Random elite mob
So... I was doing my usual iron run around my castle this morning when I came across the usual wolf pack so I went on killing them for their hide then in the dark I saw one that looked a bit different, I went on attacking it, I got basically 1 shot by it, my pet kept on fighting, I ran back as fast as I could to get my ♥♥♥♥ back, 1 shot again, run back again, get my ♥♥♥♥, run away with my pet...

Ok, this is exciting to see new stuff from time to time but could it be a little bit OP ? It's a corrupted wolf and it 1 shot me in heavy armor with 300 hp... Now I might as well considered myself banned from his roaming area... lol

300hp is nothing, the spider queen's have 20 thousand hp. excellent pets. It's sad characters and thralls have low hp compared too some of the greater pets.
I mean camels for example a bearer type pet still have bugger all slots too carry anything. Have low HP and are crap in combat... As a player character your really weak without pets and thralls. in most cases you drop shot tougher creatures from distance with snake DOT arrows. Most things drop after 100 or so arrows kept at constant x10 damage, once you reach the max x10 you just drop a shot every 7 to 8 seconds to keep the x10 damage going..

yeah I know I can climb on a rock and kill it with arrows which I will have to do because its impossible to fight it in melee range even with a 8k hp pet... Doesn't seem like good gameplay mechanic to me. I mean, even a group couldn't fight that monster, everyone would die 1 shot.

I would love to disable the elite npcs, but i haven't seen the option to do so. I loathe the system, and it reminds me entirely too much of Ark and it's glowing red "alpha" dinosaurs (that's when i bailed on that game). I honestly don't think that gimmicks such as this add any value to the game and how it's played.

It is my understanding that they are difficult to kill, yet easier than a world or mini boss. Yes, I did get ganked by one outside my main base, but oh well, that is part of the game. I did come back to the area and used arrows to kill it from a near by high spot.

armor only protects against weapons but yeah a minor boss shouldn't be deadlier than a boss.
btw, get more HP ;)

I ran across a giant of a man, maybe 8-9 foot tall. He showed the silver/skull health bar. Beat him into submission and threw him on the wheel. Unfortunately he came out normal sized.

Okay so by your own admission these miniboss enemies ARE broken and overpowered and need to be cheesed at range.

And that's totally fine?

Mmmkay.

Not really, I was out repairing Purge damage at the time and a repair hammer just is not the correct weapon to kill one of those.
