....\Steam\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Saved
If there's anything in this folder in your Conan install, then try pasting the WHOLE content to a different location and then start a single player game. When multi playing again, SWAP the content.
This is just an idea, maybe wait for more responses.
If your husband wants to have a bran new single player game, he can do so. In Windows File Explorer, Navigate to ->
steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Saved
Rename the Saved Folder to something else, like I don't know "Saved - Co-op." Then start a new game. Conan Exiles will only use the folder named exactly Saved. Then, when you are ready to host the Co-Op session, rename the current Saved folder to something else, and rename the Saved - Co-op back to "Saved." Or, use the suggestion by Hotschi48.
Here's another suggestion, a user made an app a year or so ago that still works great. It's called Mikey's Toolbox. Here's the link to that.
Finally, if you would like your husband and yourself to be able to access the "server" when one of you isn't home or unavailable, and to continue on playing the game that you left off on, but you don't want to rent your own server, you can setup a personal server in your own home using the Dedicated Server App. [forums.funcom.com]
