why can't I turn on nudity?
I've already changed server settings to max nudity=2 but ingame settings always revert to none.

go look at your ingame settings, yes there is an option on your client 2, you have to set to full.

That's not his issue. The bug he is talking about is when the serversettings.ini is getting ignored by the game.

There is also two bugs with the other nudity setting you're talking about. The first is when you can't set it in game, and the other is when the game resets the nudity setting in the ini back to off even if you manually set it to maximum.

The only way I was able to fix either of these bugs is to replace the two ini's with old ini's from before the latest major patch.

thanks for the answers.
yes, I was talking about single player and like I said, the ingame setting under 'gameplay options' always reverts to none but the game doesn't reset the nudity setting in the ini, it`s just ignored :/

Edit: I meant to say DefaultServerSettings.ini up above, not serversettings.ini.

For some reason I can't edit the post to fix the typo. :/

Purchased game. In "Settings" the drop down shows options for 0,1,2 from none to full nudity. Doesn't matter what this is set to, there is no nudity. Edited Settings.ini file and the appropriate line to force max nudity. Still no nudity. Requested refund (there were other issues). If anyone has a clear explanation as to a solution, may cancel refund rq. Thanks.

Are you serious?
Are you really considering a refund because you can't get full nudity?

I don't pay for products that don't deliver what is advertised and known.

if he is real about that, i'd suggest to him a site with "hub" in the name that has lots of free "porn", instead of getting off on ingame models.

I'm 57 years old with two grown-up kids. I don't need instructions on how to get either porn or the real thing. It's not having the functionality advertised in the product. Won't pay for it. Thanks for your instructions, will check.

And I think I got the nudity working in a weird way. After getting into the game fully (after sandstorm) there was now a Server Settings tab in options. Under General, clicked on make me admin, and I was able to change the Nudity option there. Then, under Gameplay tab set the nudity there as well. Kinda weird, but I can understand if that even singleplayer it has to create a local server for a new game.

The only problem is that now being admin mode there are the long numbers after every single item name, which kinda sucks. Else I think that is why being new to the game. Either way, kinda silly, should default to full nudity without needing to turn that on for singleplayer.

The quickest and easiest way to change these settings is to just do it in-game. If you open your Settings menu when you're in the game and head over to Server Settings you can make tweaks on the fly if you've activated Admin Mode.

Just click the "Make Me Admin" button and you'll be good to go. Once you set nudity to "Full" and hit Save you can set it to full in the game settings and you should be good to go :)

Play Online -- takes you to a *server list.* The "server settings" "button" there just displays what the server settings for the highlighted server are. There's no option to "make me admin."
Singleplayer/Co-Op
Settings -- (Tabs: Video, Audio, Gameplay, Controls, Keybindings). Under "Gameplay" there's a dropdown labelled "Nudity" with three options. Immediately below that dropdown is a line which says "Maximum nudity on server:None." Selecting "Full" from the dropdown has no effect on this message, or gameplay. I haven't set up a server. I'm not in a server. No server settings button anywhere else in this Settings menu.
Mods - irrelevant, not using.
Barbarian Edition - there is no Barbarian Edition for sale. Clicking on this button leads to a broken process (again, not a good sign).
Help - never does help
Credits - n.a.
Exit

Nope, don't see "server settings" or "make me admin" anywhere. Please refer to my original post wherein I requested a "clear" explanation. Also, as a developer, learn what use cases are. The end user experience is often quite different from what you believe it to be.

The sentence "If you open your Settings menu when you're in the game and head over to Server Settings you can make tweaks on the fly if you've activated Admin Mode" is practically nonsense. You can do x if y, but only if you've done a before getting to x - and I assume you know what I mean by a, x, and y. The lingety used by developers (I've supervised about 20 in my life) bears little or no relation to what an end user can process.

Clear, step by step instructions which your grandmother could follow - is what I tell them. In those instructions, each step has to have descriptives which indicate to the user that what they see on screen matches where they are in the process.

As Noxsa said, those are ID numbers and very necessary for mod authors.

You can make them invisible again by logging in and out and thus disabling admin.

Just go for the IRL experience and stand in front of a mirror sans clothing.

To be honest, even on the highest settings they can't match my magnificence.

No marketing money in the world could compete with the real deal.
