Best Farming Tools?

Online it said acheronian has great durability... Well, I built one pick it certainly does not in comparison to the obsidian.. About to trial star metal pick.

So far I favour all farming tools Obsidian. Thought I'd ask the question if there was something else?

I use iron as it's cheap

Make sure ur survival skill is 20 for ores or 30 for skins, I would not suggest iron pick as it is super slow, yes cheap but it would be stupid to use it over any of the end game picks

I use Star Metal tools for all the stuff. I also drop a tool upgrade kit on each of them. Since we have a settlement in the far north, Star Metal is fairly easy to come by, whereas obsidian is a little more tough to get unless one wants to go up the path to the volcano or go in the volcano. Same thing with forging bars of star metal as opposed to obsidian.

highly depends on what resources are you planning to harvest. its unlikely someone is going to harvest stone using starmetal or obsidian when theres tons of boulders around.

iron tools are super cost effective especially with tool upgrade kits
