cannot change a horses saddle

i put a light saddle on a horse and made all 5 styles and was going to go through them all for the hell of it. once i put the light one on the "access invetory" option in the wheel mounts me not open inventory than once i am mounted it lets me into the inventory but wont let me change saddle. anyway to get it to let me change saddle (going to assume i cannot be mounted)?

Had to pick up the horse to change saddle. Dont know if this is the correct way of doing it or not but it works.

Hey Sergier,

Are you using any kind of mods in your game? That might have made things a bit wonky. As far as I know the "Access Inventory" button in the radial menu shouldn't make your character mount their horse.

yes i am, not many but i had not thought of that

Mount the horse and then try again to access the inventory while you're mounted. Until the mods get updated, that's the only way I was able to access the horse's inventory once I put a saddle on them. At least until the mods (Pickup+) gets updated.

yes but to change saddle you have to pick the horse up and replace it

Hi

Just hold "E" on the horse while not mounted until the menu circle appears.

Select "Open inventory" Then remove and replace the saddle .
The old saddle can be moved to the horses inventory.

the issue is when you click on the "open inv" it mounts you

Not for me, the horses inventory opens up and the saddle can be accessed and removed.
If I only click the "E" button I mount without the menu, but if I hold it down it works.

I'd post pictures if I knew how to add one here.

Make sure you don't let go of the E key until you click on the inventory window.

i had the same problem which was fixed by uninstalling the mod Niflheimr - Teleportation

I put the saddle in the horses inventory. When I select mount from the raidal menu it says: "Can not mount without a saddle." I tried removing the saddle and replacing it but still get the message.
