Good, Reliable Source of Gold?

Hi, just seeing if anyone else knows a good Source of Gold for Gold Coins and Gold Dust? I know the Obsidian Chunks up at the Volcano have a Chance of giving Gold but due to it being in the Volcano and not having Strong Enough Heat Resistant Gear I am unsure if i can make the Trek. Are there any Gold Mines or Gold Coin Vendors I am unaware of?

There's a ton of chests with gold and silver in jungle, both on dry land and submerged. No need to go to volcano. There is some YT videos showing locations of those if you don't want to search for them yourself.

Alright. Thank you. I never understood the point of the Volcano. Can't even really work the Obsidian, rather soend my time getting Star Metal

My go to place would be The Unnamed City and/or Sepermeru (good source of steel as well). There are quite some chests. The snake room in The Unnamed City has 5 chests with gold/silver and you can loot them all without even aggro-ing the boss.

My go-to for gold are the wrecks in the harbor and river near the enterance to the sunken city. There are chests, usually 2 or 3, hidden in and around them.

You might not understand the purpose of the volcano, but I never understood why standing a foot away from a lava stream didn't keep me warm in the frigid north before entering the volcano region.

As for gold... I seem to recall finding a bit of it on that beached pirate ship, in the square metal chests. The blackwater pirates main base or w/e its called. With really good gear and stats, those pirates dont stand a chance. Also the pirates occasionally have gold/silver dust on them as well.

I'm actually unsure of the Volcanoes Purpose. The few Times I went up there was for Gold and once was for Obsidian, but I didn't find out till after returning to Castle Zing that they have to be used in some Smithery in the Volcano... basically I considered the whole Trek kind of Pointless since Hardened Steel... even Generic Steel... can 75% of the Time do the Job required and I can find ways to easily Farm Star Metal, that I do have some of, not a lot but enough for basic Tools and 1 Weapon.

Curently RPing as a Rider (Lance and Horseback, think Astolfo) named Astolfo who is the Queen at the Castle Zingdom. She recently lost her King in a "Tragic Cliff Accident when he was Low on Health"..

Probably, like most features and locations in the game, they were poorly thought out and rushed out the door. Too many areas seem to be empty of threats and the overall progression of gameplay is really skewed. Like the trek to get to the village (w/e its called) with Conan in it, is a long and perilious journey, yet the enemies there only really drop standard iron bars, with the occasional steel one.

I think one thing that can help is either more Enemy Camps or Patrols. With the new Horse Combat they can try to make it so the Player can Engage other Horse Riders so the Player isn't the only ones on Horseback. For me it's realism aas it feels very out of place when it happens. Maybe Pre-Programmed paths for Patrols around Enemy Camps or even other Exiles Bands wandering the Area.
