I'm sure I read somewhere that they weren't keen on doing Horse mounts or something, but did due to popular demand? So it must be something they're not familiar with and decided to design a mount based on a follower - however, I'm sure many players would agree, they don't want their transport and precious cargo charging into fight stuff or even just following them around like a clingy ex-girlfriend wanting to get back with you, if you've dismounted so you can run on into combat, or run into a building...
"Oi! No 'Orses in 'ere"..
I think Funcom must be new to game development? I dunno, seeing as other game studios, (and amateur mod makers), have achieved these mechanics with relative polished results, as well as many other things that I see Funcom struggling with, too in the game; the lack of clarity with crafting system, (communication/information description issues), objects in build mode disappearing through other objects and the floor. Eh- every game has its development growth pangs.
Weapon sheathing wasn't a thing... until it came in an update, that kind of worries me, since this would be something expected done on release.
These things I keep noticing in the game make me not surprised that the Horse/mount issues are a thing. If I'm across a lake and want him to come to me, How can I whistle? (Recall of followers is a thing that mod makers, again, as well as other game studios have achieved easily).
This is why I want to assume that Funcom are new and need time to grow and develop their programming skills. because I don't want to complain about any of this, I just think it would be great to see the game keep developing and improving over time, based on some excellent feedback and suggestions. Not only will it make the game better, but it will make their devs more skilled and knowledgeable lol!
No, Horse, dammit, stay there ughhh! <horse runs into the blades of 4 Barbarians and gets turned into dinner>
Great, I'm walking home. With no gear...
Since it's not hard to do, go ahead and make a mod, in Conan Exiles. I'll be waiting for it.
This game has way more people spreading misinformation then they do spreading actual facts. You joined the misinformation crew. Since your post was nothing but a "fUnCoM sUx gAmE dEv iS eAsY" post, I won't bother trying to educate. I learned my lesson with this "community" long ago.
As for the rest, you necroed a year old post because.....?
