Where can i find pebblenoses?

I'm at the starting river and i've climbed around areas with high rocknose population and even killed a great rocknose. But i can't find pebblenoses.
Is it a late-game thing or am i just unlucky?

ok if u got to the area north of the oasis there a guy in the thralls up a bridge that seels them for 5 or 10 gold just up from the camel seller try typing it in to utube they show u much better then me trying to explain where she is
