You can have as many house type beds as you want, but only one will act as your respawn point at any given time.
1. What makes the bedrolls temporary? Do they have limited uses?
2. If you place more than one bed (of any type), does the previous one disappear the way bedrolls do? You said "you can have one permanent bed", and later said "you can have as many house type beds as you want", so I'm unsure what you mean.
I haven't gotten far enough to make my first bed yet, so I'm just placing fibre bedrolls as I move throughout the map. I'm unsure what the standard practice is. I'm guessing people place beds in their buildings and temporary bedrolls when on the move.
2) Bedrolls are limited to 1. But house beds, or permanent beds, are not limited to a number. Those are more like actual beds that you would put in your house or base. They should be obviously different from a bed roll.
And ya, that's the idea, they have a main home base, and bed rolls for exploration, Thrall runs, resource runs, etc.
Thanks for the help!
You can pick up bedrolls and put them back in inventory if you no longer need that possible spawnpoint. Although, bedrolls being so cheap and easy to make, most of the time it is just easier to leave it and let it be destroyed the next time you throw one down.
