volcano and obsidian is bugged in my game

ok lots of frustration here finally got to the point of getting to the snakeman boss to get the purple tetrahedron thingy only to find that the doorway into the final path is so glitched I cant pass thru it...after several one finger salutes to the screen and some colorful language I did slide around the back of the big arena to the left and climb up a wall and slink over to the other side of that wall( req climbers gear tho)..it took several tries but it did work...so I go fight all the purple ghosts and get the purple gem and then get the recipes...then head back to the forge full of hope that I can now make some obsidian stuff..so first u need to make some composite obsidian out of obsidian and steel...I notice when I open the forge the only thing that shows is composite obsidian...so I try to make some and it looks like its working but as one is completed and the next one starts I cant find the one that was made WTF GRRRRR... my stacks of stuff in the forge are going down but I got nothing to show for it?????????? then to top it all off I go back to my base and open my improved blacksmith bench which has a named thrall and I can see all of the obsidian stuff but if I click on one of them the says FATAL ERROR and shuts down..really frustrating anybody else having this issue..I did see one video that talked about that doorway being glitched but they got thru by going sideways but no joy for me...got all the parts to make the keystone and get to the final part of the game but its frustration not to be able to collect the obsidian stuff and that glitchy door is stupid!!!!!

playing SP with mods for archers and single player enhancements on a 4K monitor but only use at 2K for this game and set on ultra getting ~ 45 and above fps

Like you when I get to forge with the obsidian recipes I only get the make composite Obsidian. I'm not sure if that is a game change from an update though.

These days I play Conan on low resolution to keep memory within a reasonable range for my computer. At Ultra ny computer was chewing through 12- 15 gb of Ram regularliy at low it's only around 3- 4GB and I have a lot less issues.

So whether you would have less issues if you play in a lower resolution, probably worth a try.

In the vulcano forge you only get composite obsidians. The tools and weapons are made at your base in the blacksmith bench. So you have to bring home the composite obs. And you need to be level 60 to make to the tools and weapons.

And OP:
In the Forge there are more than one slots for making composite obs. Your stuff most probably not disappeared, it is simply in the other slot. Just try to look a little around and you can find them. It is like when you try to pick up your disappeared body. Just move around a little the mouse while pressing the E.

ok so the volcano foRge is not like the other forges in that the area where the parts are kept have the made elements show as a new stack...like when you make star metal bars from black ice and star metal ore as the base comonents go down a new stack shows in the forge inventory for the completed items...not seing that in the volcano forge...i will look again...anyexplanation for why the game crashes when I click on the obsidian itema at my blacksmith table or why that gate wont open....most of this game is great i have put 1500+hrs into it and am having a blast but now at the end its kinda letting me down

Thanks Starfisher yep that's the current way to make them now, when I first had gone to Volcano we could still make the tools and weapons there. So I'm not sure when that changed.

say guys I think my game is toast..still "FATAL ERROR" everytime I click on an obsidian item and still not getting any obsidian bars...also went to the alter w/ all the parts and no joy there either...I think it may be one of the mods Im using that increases the max lvl to 78 I think the game cannot decide if Im at max lvl or not and its lil brain cant handle it...fraid I'll need to start over...one comment tho this is a huge map and you really need to be everywhere on it and there is no REAL fast travel ( the oblisks sorta but you have to run back) the conan world had horses and even a dragon that flies also... would be nice to be able to aquire some method of fast travel like they do in games like skyrim or trainable mounts like in ark...

First step have you verified your conan exiles files?
Right clicking conan exiles in steam library. selecting properties local very cache. Let it work through and see if there's anything that needs replacing.

Have you tried removing that mod from your active list and retrying the obsidian? If that doesn't help deactivate each mod until you have none active. Trying to see which causes the issue.

Oh and before you do make a back up of your save folder. Steam/steamapps/common/conanexiles/conansandbox/saved, in case anything goes wrong so you can reload it.

I'm using the Kerozard paragon levelling mod which takes me up to L300 in single player. Also in delevoping this character originally I had changed from several level mods for 75 ... 140 and now through to L300. As long as you don't have 2 of those sort of mods at the same time it's probably no problem.

:edit ... quite some time ago I had issues that came from the mod pause on Esc which caused freezes and other issues. Once I removed that mod the problems went away. Sometimes it can also come from a mods conflicting or conflicting with an update.

Let us know how it goes.

You can build multiple map rooms. Just build them near the various oblisks.

yep on the map rooms... but that causes you to always build close to an oblisk and is very cumbersome...I did use the mod for "extended cartography religion" that lets you make ur own oblisks and that works great but feels a bit like a cheat..just thinking the vanilla game should have something that works for lower lvl players in SP, I did try to remove the lvl78 mod and it left me at lvl 64 but still no changes..I really think it was because I changed to lvl78 mod after I was at lvl60 so the game was having trouble identifiying what lvl I was and whether I was at max lvl...I think when u use the lvl mods the game will still not give u the max lvl permissions until you are at max lvl

You could try Multiguns Level 140 mod which is great ...until you get to Level 140... then of course you want more. Don't we all want to have improving levels whatever level we're at!

With Mods some work better than others, some may get glitched because you put them in the wrong order, so that they cannot work properly.

Personally the Level 60 XP cap is silly especially for Singleplayer
Now at Level 300 I'd like something that gets me more ... as what incentive is there when you reach the max cap?
