How do I reduce/turn off rain?
I am playing single player. I recently my entire base to the highlands. Ever since then, it has been raining non-stop. It has not taken a break so far and I have been at my new base for two and a half RL hours. At first I didn't mind it, but the reduced view distance and constant darkness of everything is getting on my nervs. I'm open to anything at this point.

Enable admin rights. Press ESC and click the admins tab. You'll find lots of options on the bottom left that alter weather etc.
Nope just tried it and doesn't seem to have rain setting. Also weather severity just set itself to 50 again. Weird.

I have been playing the entire day. It stopped raining for a little bit, but it was close to 3 ingame weeks of solid downpour before it did.

Yep the green belt is rain city, for 6.5 out of 7 days similar with the jungle.
The dead mound area is constant nightime,
the frozen area at least has day and night cycles and generally no rain; luckily no snow squalls like we use to.
The desert is the most stable area .. weather wise

Thanks, hopefully someone will come out with a mod soon that lets us configure it. In the meantime, got any suggestions on how to keep warm without leaving torches every 2 feet?

Use the correct armor for where you live.

I'm using the Kambujan Shaman armor (which has cold resistance according to the wiki) and still freezing to death. Do I need to wear the complete set to get the resistance buff?

Never stops raining and the devs will never fix it. At one point it was acknowledged as a bug but it's never going to be fixed. Basic bug fixes have yet to occur. I doubt this will ever be fixed.

Actually today it's been a bit more 50-50. Still working out how to not freeze to death though. I got the Hyrkanian Raider armor set and I still get 'extremely cold' while wearing it, holding a torch, and standing in a circle of 6 standing torches.
Effin depressing... a friggin week of golden shower from the gods...and still going...

Each piece has a certain amount on it, you can check when you click it I think. You need more clearly if still freezing. Also spicy food helps too as does the 20 vitality perk. It's a harsh environment, so if it's not working, go further south.

Also kinda funny that I live in the jungle and normally it rains at least 70% of the time I'm there. Still has some nice sunny days but usually very rainy.

Then a couple of days ago (real life days) it's been sunny pretty much the entire several hours I've been in game. It was super weird, thought the server was messed up or something. 6, 7, 8, even 10+ hours and I didn't see it raining once. Tonight it did rain a little again and I was shocked...but didn't rain long.

Completely forgot to update the thread. Weather was generally fine last time I checked, although I do think the devs should have a min/max value for rainstorms to avoid the 40 days 40 nights situation. As for freezing, after I bum-rushed it across the bridge I found out that it was only the bridge (more accurately the entire lake) that I had trouble on. I guess they took the easy option and just made the entire area cold instead of adding an exception for the bridge.
