Any way to make horses immortal?

Im playing Age of calamitous, and those poor horsies are dropping like flies due to that plague instagib mechanic. The mount ai is not smart enough to head for the hills when its supposed to. Its getting a bit tedious to watch them getting absolutely raped by that mechanic so i was hoping to find a work around and make them immortal. Any ideas?

I recommend you send a message to the discord for AoC. Those guys seem to like a hard core game.

My personal preference is to never play a server with AoC installed, but if their mod is killing all of the horses, then they should be the ones to fix that.

I complained about a few other things with that mod, they are probably tired of hearing from me

Well i was told i should approach more "tactical". Well the npc followers don't do tactical very well hehe. So the only tactical approach is not to use any followers, and that includes mounts too :D It does add alot of fun to the game thou, on my part it would be hard missed if i really have to give it up. Gonna check up on Disc then, thanks.

I've yet to tame a horse. Hopefully the AoC discord can give you some good advice of how best to use the horse when their mod is installed.

Only way that might help is if you park your horses in safety before going into such a fight, or even pick it up before going into such a fight

Defeats the purpose of mounted combat.
I guess the mod maker wasn't expecting mounts to be ever implemented.

If you can defeat the creature while mounted, then you have I think about three seconds to get the hell away from whatever you killed before the gas spreads and kills you and your horse.

The main point of AoC is that if you have become bored with vanilla Conan, it adds a bunch of stuff to the game. It adds factions. Each faction has building pieces, armor, decorations, and thralls. The thralls that are in the wild, anyone can enslave. They tend to be much more difficult to tame than most thralls, but then once you have them, they are better than most. It also adds more mini bosses you can fight. Some are very difficult and when you kill them they emit a gas that will kill you unless you move away from the corpse which is the source of the gas. It also adds a lot of new recipes and new plants and I minerals that are used in the recipes.

I don't recommend you play AoC unless you know the vanilla stuff well, otherwise it can be very confusing, since there is no wiki for AoC. You will find something look it up and not figure out why it is not in the wiki unless you already know a lot about Conan Exiles.

You could always try to become a horse archer, haven't tried this yet. Not sure if the horses are fast enough.

Are there any other animals we can ride? Or is it just horses?

Horses are the only mounts at the moment.

I'd personally like a way to make not only mounts immortal but my thralls and pets as well...

No. This DEVS don't like hardcore games, The moment you have a thrall warrior with 20k health and the possibility of throwing bombs and spells, you will survivor for any deadly plague or gas. By the way these monsters without any creativity, jis a joke, just a black shadow, the whole game loses its essence has become The Sims with swords, because that's what the mod is. Set up a mill and play with making milk and corn? Apart from the confused metals, names with no sense, and their strangest manufacturing yet. In short it is a mod just for aesthetics. You can kill any creature them from a rock with arrows and Vanilla orbs. The mod is not difficult, it is badly done. Only for aesthetics nothing more.
