A clearer Crafting menu
I know you can search things but atm its just a mess I hope you change this :)

The armor station in particular could use tabs or folders to group armor by type. Same for blacksmith.

The crafting menus in general force you to search through a whole load of things you will never use and probably will never use after the first couple of levels. The personal one being the worst of the bunch. I really dont want to have to scroll past stone knives to find things. I guess the best case would be to arrange the crafting menu just like you would inventory. It should save under your personal character in effect....I think.

The crafting menu's are horrible, hek Ive been even looking rhrough mods to help this mess, at level 40 I finally took the second teir in Building just because I didnt want to clog up my crafting poage even worse, I am sure it will get changed later.

The crafting in Conan is atrocious.

I'd go so far as to say conan has THE worst Crafting sytem of any game I have played. I gave up using any crafting stations and only use the one thing the devs created that works well
The admin panel. So obviously I play in SP and use mods to fix half the issue that annoy me to let me play it my way.

Having all stations sorted only with a generalised heading that doesn't relate to any of the stations. Half the crafting stations only having a splash screen with no menu is just pitiful.
Sorry for the rant I like the conan world ... but crafting in Conan is stupid and ridiculous grind.

Yep, been just typing SA into the search when I craft for Sandstone items, real pain in the arse

1 Crafting stations should remember which search function you had used previously
2 They should have sorting headings that are relevant for that station
3 They should all have menus of what can be made, in all crafting stations.

The whole setup gives you the impression that the devs have never used a crafting station themselves! They often show how they just use the admin panel for everything .. so why not remove all crafting stations and make the Admin Panel available to all players.

I'd recommend they play Novus Inceptio to see how a crafting system could work way better than what we have now.

I have to wholeheartedly agree with everyone here. I'm a complete noob to this game and it's my fisrt dive into this genre. I have avoided multiplayer so far - wanting to get an understanding of the game before I make a mess with other players. But I am fiding the crafting system a mess - no consistancy and some seem to be dysfunctional. Can't get some to work for ages and only solution is to waste hours trying out different combinations until something finally appears.

I've also resorted to using the admin panel to get items.

Really needs the devs to focus on an intuitive system and stick to it!

Also crafting stations like the stove that have nearly 100 items that could be crafted from up to 3 components with only 15 slots needing massive juggling of components.
All components named with a descriptive word at the beginning and listed alphabetically such that there is no organization and as with all crafting stations only sortable by armor weapons or miscellaneous headings ... There cannot have been any thought placed into these designs.

The only way to organize this mess a bit, is to respec your feats ( Blueprints ) to limit what you can make in these stations so that you don't need to endlessly scroll through them for the items you may want to make more often.

wont even go in to how much items are really odd level, like been killing Rocknoes from level 13+ yet it is like a Level 50 feat to make a head of one, Feat level s ned a revamp and need to be moved around and such

Or you need a Level 4 thrall from a particular race to have the experience to craft something but not on a improved station only on normal one!
It's just guess work for how anything works.

Ah but you can look it up on the outdated Wiki that has descriptions from 3 years ago ... as though nothing has been updated since then.

If the crafting stations had proper categories and were sortable by those categories, then the crafting stations with menus may be handy.

Such that all potions are together or all dyes and if the dyes for example where named by proper naming convention like armors. So for example
Blue cimmerian light Dye .. such that all blues dyes are together so you can easily see all same colours together and select which you can make that you like.

I was thinking that a solution, one that might be easy to fix this crafting horror, would be to allow players to drag and drop items, that they are currently using a lot of the time, to the top of the menu. Kind of like when you neaten up your inventory.

also a rubbish bin for all those items you know you'd never use.
