Conan Exiles burning video cards.
Hi! It burns video cards. My 760 GTX Nvidia was burned a month ago, my friend's 980 GTX burned a week ago too. I played in Conan 2 months. In august, near to end, it collapsed to this catastrophe.
Another event, laptop of common player on one of servers, video card was burned and he has gone for month, before he repaired laptop and said about it problem.
So here 3 times, when video cards was destroyed only by this game.

If you want your video card live for long, do not play this game. If you'l continue, this you'l see https://images.vfl.ru/ii/1538848679/fd204b20/23675668.jpg

On my new 1060 GTX i have played only 1 hour in Conan. MSI Afterburner showing 1556 MHz in most of games, its normal her (card) frequency. But in Conan Exiles it became 2074MHz, overclocked another worlds. Than i cut off game through ALT+F4 and deleted it.

Developers, you are miners, or something?!?

3 cards burnt. Thousands of players with no problem. Logic dictates that it MUST be the games fault, if hardware dies.

lol, game overclock video card, isnt it a reason? May be here more who have burned cards. We 3 was on one server, man, one server with online 15-20 players! 1322
I think it high index.

I have over 1000 hours on CE with my radeon rx460. No issues here.

its funny how someone thats talkin ♥♥♥♥ about a game has a private profile... and im sure if peoples cards got "burnt" out cause of the game more people would have posted

i mean, a 760 gtx is kinda week for this game anyway, also still 970 or such are still on the older side. Then it was summer, did you ever take a look into your pc, remove dust, look having a good coolingsystem. Because, yes, overheating is often the problem and cause for those issues.

And let's face it, GPU don't live for ever.
It's a big game, so you would be better with a bigger GPU, look at a 1060 at least, still better a 1070 or 1080 for recent games.

That's simply a fact. Also you didn't mention the rest of your system. XD

a game can't overclock your graphic card and a game can't kill it just like that.

My "Sapphire Radeon RX 470 Nitro+ OC - 4 Go " was 4 months old and it died while playin conan" . I don't know 100% if it's because of the game but it's a fact. And i was NOT playin on ultra settings of course. Just sayin...

I'm playing Conan on an old HD7970 with faulty fans and I have over 800hs on it... and it hasn't burn yet :P

It is true that the game is badly optimized and GPU utilization stays at full 100% over long periods of time, and most importantly any kind of light source makes heavy impact on GPU utilization... and weather effects, and environmental effects... etc.

Still, the only reason your vid card burns is because you haven't set the fan vs temperature curves properly... and because it's NVIDIA :D ((no kidding, the ONLY vid card I ever burned in my life are ALL nvidia...)

yep i agree with light source, it's really ressources demanding, but my card was not an Nvidia leeux.

Lol... I was just joking with that, of course :P Always fun to add fuel to the old amd vs nvidia fight :D

EDIT: I realize, the "no kidding" part might have been confusing... sorry.

That part it's just because that's a real issue, at least in my own experience... I burned due to overtemp at least two nvidia cards over the past 15 years.... and I have overtemped several of my AMD cards, and they never been burned out... they just shut down and/or switch to low consumption state, gracefully.

This points more to an issue with improper cooling for the video card. My systems does get warm with several games that i play. One thing I have noticed is that the variable speed fans do pick up the pace quite a bit the warmer the system gets. If your video cards are cooking themselves, then it is an issue with your cooling for the video card. Since I used to build my own systems, it is possible the heat sink may be warped or improperly seated where it contacts the chip. This is usually the case when you change types of cooling (OEM to Water) systems.

OP you are so very funny. You have inferior PC or cooling system and rather than fix the issue you pick a game to blame. Well below is a solution that works well, it is on Steam and it is free. It will help make sure your Fans work as they should. It is not the developers responsibility to keep your PC cool. Remember too you must clean the Inside of your PC with a can of O2 to blow out the dirt and dust.

Protip for you buddy, Get A better Computer and dont complain about the game, its hardware failure not the game. So do some research before you slander a good game.
