Purge Bar stuck (single player)
So i set up the purge in my single player game and the purge bar started moving. Then i realised that the purge value (amount you have to accumulate) was so high, i'd probably never get there in SP so i brought it down (to 5000) and now the bar hasn't moved again. I've added another floor to my house, tamed heaps of thralls and killed the kinscourge and the bar hasn't moved. Anyone got any ideas?

Try with first making yourself an admin and then open the console by pressing the Insert key (by default I believe) and type in the command FillAllClanPurgeMeters (alternatively followed with StartPlayerPurge).

Yeah i'm not trying to console a purge. i want them to happen on their own... Or are you insinuating that triggering one by console will reset the meter and i can then have normal purges? I'll play with things a bit more and hope, but i'll try the console command later and see if it gets things started again.

Yes, to force a purge should reset the meter and have it act as normal afterward.
I'm not sure of what else that could "jump start" it.

So the console purge happened. The first command filled the bar, but nothing else happened. The second command started the purge. After the purge the bar was about half way and again i spent ages building getting thralls and killing bosses and the bar doesn't move.

Commenting so I can find this thread again before I buy to check if it's fixable.

I'd be playing SP and this working is sorta a deal breaker for me, plus the videos
I have watched had archer thralls standing about unwilling to shoot at enemies and
just made the game look like it was still in beta.

Can you post a screenshot of your purge settings? I only play SP and my purges work fine. There's a lot of misinformation floating around about what are good purge settings. Your comment about the bar not moving at all kinda makes me think that your meter refresh rate might be set very high, preventing the bar from updating at a rate where you'll notice the movement... and also preventing it from doing the check to start a purge.

Let's have a look at your settings though and see what we can do from there.

The purge is working fine in my SP game now.
i can show you my settings if you like...

The only thing that is not very on point is how long it takes for a purge to happen...it's just crazy how much stuiff i get done inbetween purges despite the fact i changed the settings in order to make it happen really much faster.
But every time i get a full purge meter, a purge will trigger 100% eventually.
from what i have noticed, once your purge meter is full, you're only meeting the purge spawn conditions, that doesn't mean a purge will happen right away though, sometimes it does, sometimes it can happen after some more in game hours, but it will happen 100%...in my game at least.
as you noticed OP, you can build an entire base without seeing your purge meter filling accordingly and this is what is bothering me with the purge in its current state (+ the fact that world bosses can spawn there as well).

As answer to the previous poster, i had the same issue with thralls 2 months ago, now they are almost ALL doing their job everytime they should, even archers...
It is actually how you build and how you place your thralls in this setting that will determine if their AI will work properly...i know it's weird and annoying but it is the way it is right now.

So the refresh frequency should be a low number?! Thats the opposite of what the tooltip says. I've had that set to 120. I'm playing something else right now. I'll duck back in later with the rest of my settings, although i will try changing the refresh to a low number first.

Yeah my archers didn't do anything from the roof of my building, but when i placed them closer they engaged. Only problem is because i now have so many fighters the archers are mostly just shooting fighters in the back.

i don't know about the english description, but in french, it is indeed exactly the opposite of what the tooltip says.
About your thralls: sounds good since the fighters are the ones who matter now...archers are only here for decoration and immersion purpose imo :D (because of the big archery nerf of course...archers used to ROCK back in the days).
but i've read that the devs are not happy with the current state of archery, so archers thralls might come back to usefullness and efficiency again at some point....

Yeah, it seems the refresh frequency is in minutes, based on what I've seen, so at 120, the bar is only going to update every two hours, which would be why it never looks like it's moving.

This is the most recent pic I have of my settings. The only thing I've changed since this pic was to change the difficulty to 6.

Was wondering about this, they have a bad habit of sliders doing the exact opposite of what they claim.
