The state of PVP sucks... solutions?
So pvp is highly imbalanced at the moment.... at this time everyone thats 60 has worked there way to it and thats great...

However people just joining servers are at severe disadvantages.... I am seeing level 16's being just killed and there bases totaled there not even given a chance to establish themselves...

The problems I am seeing are as follows... any advice or suggestions here would be appreciated

1- Leveling is slow... alot of people didnt like the locations giving as much XP as they did... but I

felt that was a great way to level... you explored and became highly familiar with controls by the

time you were finished doing locations... I feel they dont give enough xp

2- Lack of ways to get XP... so you do have Locations and Journey's but even some of the

journeys cant be done until your high level....and with that being said being a low level its hard

enough farming materials but when you have a server trying to raid you and kill you its almost

impossible.... there should be more ways to get XP then there currently is.... Crafting t3 gives

good xp but not enough... and again requires alot of farming and its the same for vaults it

requires alot of farming and in a pvp enviroment where your the odd man out and trying to gather

thats almost impossible

------------
Share your thoughts and suggestions maybe I am missing something

Part of the fun in games like this is finding ways to hide your base.

If you are a solo player do not build some monstrous tier 1 building. Thats just asking to get raided.

Find an out of the way spot, close enough to mats you need, keep your base small and your footprint smaller.

You will get raided. It will happen. Do not get mad. Be ready to have to start over. Thats another part of the fun.

Interesting... but some people dont mind starting over but they mind having to leave a server and restart since it became everyones goal to find you and raid you (which switching servers wouldnt even be an issue but leveling is to slow now to even want to try.,.. for some).... also sadly a reality is there are wallhacks....while maybe not noticeable to you there in there... meaning no matter where your base is... its never gonna matter....especially at the early levels

But I do appreciate your input... and more is welcome from others

With the current XP system you can get to level 60 within 8 hours on your own if you have friends that are level 50+ in game you can easily do that in half the time. This is not my playing style but I have tested it just so I can say I have done it.

For me the change of XP was great, even play on server with half xp gain. If you rush though the levels you miss a lot of the game.

So let me ask... what have you done to level... what was your process.... if you would be interested in sharing that would be amazing... in this current circumstance I would be running solo

Like I said I am open to suggestions and if I am missing something I would love to hear what it is I am missing

I got clear incrustations from a friend, sorry I don't have then available right now. But basic's are ABC (Always Be Crafting) most of the things you craft give you exp, twine give you 5 exp as one example. Vault give you close to 300k xp. Then run and get get some locations but kill everything you can in your way. Even a Crocodile give you over 2k xp and his head you can use as a Trophy and gain another 2k. Get thralls ASAP even if you get low levels they will help lowering production cost and therefore increasing your XP.

It's not about crafting what you really need but how to get the most of out of the resources you have. You will be throwing away almost everything anyway. You can always get more resources.

The thing is again... vaults take level 44 to make... and in a pvp server when its hard to gather resources since your being killed constantly and your base and your crafting stations are being totaled... its not exactly easy to Always be crafting... hence why I feel leveling needs to be more broader in how you do it....

Your options are highly limited in terms of efficiency in leveling.... I feel like there has to be a boost in xp somehow for other areas... perhaps killing bosses gives more xp... or maybe have a turn in over in sepmeru for xp... maybe have a craftable xp potion in game.... or something to that extent... but just from what you listed I cant see hitting 60 in 8 hours... killing monsters alone doesnt yield that much and I had been farming over in asgard for steel... and realistically 2k doesnt mean much down the line when the xp needed is high and it barely moves your bar...

If you get that clear instuction list I would be interested in seeing it... cause that would be highly helpful but still as it stands there is no real good way on a pvp server to level

Vault was only an example but as I said, almost EVERYTHING you craft give XP so don't stop crafting even if it's twain.

For survival; Well I only made two short testes on public PvP but was not killed a singe time, unless one time from aggro mobs but that was my fault. First thing I do is to run into the swamps, both times I tried there was no one there. Hardly found any building neither. I will come back with that list for you tomorrow, or rather in a few hours.

sad truth is that all the survival, open world, craft, pvp games are all unfair because when it comes to fight and progress then the question is "how many players does your clan have?" and if thats more than yours... well then you are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and the chances of that clan having someone who stays up all day n night just to farm some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ items is higher too because they have more players... obvously and they enjoy the game more because they usually dominate everybody then

the only solution WOULD be the clan size limit but thats easily outplayable in this game

As long as the journey steps dont bug out and not give you credit for things.....(looking at you ''equip light armor step'').......as far as PVP goes, ive been playing for 4 days now and havent had trouble with anyone and I didnt even try to hide my base. Maybe I just chose a chill server..

there are unofficial RP servers you could play on. if you find one that has active admins you can end up having a great experience. IMO people who just flat out kill on sight will have a bad experience on a RP server(unless they roleplay it in a way that makes sense without being over the top) that has a decent community. most people should react to you based on how you roleplay.

if you think roleplaying is a lil too nerdy, its not as bad as you think especially if its not heavily enforced. it actually brings some decent immersion to the game. just make sure to pick a name that is RP friendly. i assume all RP servers have that rule. so no letters or symbols or words that do not make up a sensible name.

The problem is that you cant hide your base because every 2nd player in the PC version is a potential wallhack cheater and can see your base no matter how good you hide it, thats why i have the console versions (xbox and ps4) of this game too, i can tell you, Pc is full of hacknoobs.

Find a good private server and you wont have problems with hacknoobs. Most private server have at least some of the mods that increases the playing experience, pickup mod and things like that. Then you have a much better game on PC then you have on console.

The thing is dying and getting your base raided thats part of it... and I am fine with that... but the problem you will encounter is that if the server decides they dont like you....there is no where to hide or build your base... what your looking at is a constant bombardment of being raided...

Which can force you off a server.... and everytime you switch to a server your gonna have to relevel...and leveling is just a very slow process.. and alot of people are content level 60's that havent had to switch servers... but for those wanting to even stand a chance at rebuilding on a diff server its almost impossible depending on the enviroment.... and from my experience everyone is almost always hostile...

As I said I just wish they gave out more XP as it pertains to certain things... even journey's should yield more xp... I feel like if you have gotten the majority of the locations and did a fair amount of journey you should be 60.... but some of the journey basically need to you be higher level to even accomplish....

Even making enemies yield more xp as your farming would be a great addition... I just dont like that the meta has to be grind out T3 pieces or grind out vaults....there needs to be way more variety...

And I dont mind RP servers just not my overall cup of tea.... and I am not a bad player.... I want to get along with as many as I can but your gonna encounter people that you just cant get along with.... and being good doesnt matter if your level 30 and there 60 with a legendary pike whaling on you... your chances are extremely low and add the fact they have clanmates your basically screwed
