Text chat

How do i chat in text? I dont have a headset. Ive tried a few thibngs but I cant find the right key strokes. help please?

Hiya! Depending on your keybindings your keystrokes may vary, but the default to make the chat window pop up is Ctrl + T.

After that, just hit Enter and your cursor will appear next to the word "Global." You will by default be chatting with the world. To see a list of commands, type /help and press Enter in the chat window.

I am new to Conan on PC and I see chat text on a lower left corner of my screen but I cannot join any conversation. Nothing works even CTRL +T doesn’t bring the chat window. On the server I see everyone playing has a text bubble and microphone icon but not me. Any help would be welcome. Thank you

If you see the chat text you should only have to hit enter, then type whatever you want to say, to participate. It should default to global chat. The text box where you type will tell you which type of chat you're typing into. The box doesn't change, just the text that pops up, so global, local, and clan all occur on the same window but in different colours. I think that confuses some people at times because they expect a new chat box or window to open up and it doesn't.

There are some keyboard shortcuts to switch chat groups but there's another way, too. If you hit enter type /s then hit the space bar you switch to local (say) chat. /g is for global. /c should get you to clan chat. I find that to be the easiest way to switch since the keyboard shortcuts don't always work.

ZFrenchy - maybe the admin muted you for chat on that server? I have no idea why you'd be completely unable to use chat. Have you tried another server? You may have to put in a support ticket to Funcom if you can't find a fix on the forums or out there in the wilds of the internet.
