The only single time I've seen it even brought up is when one guy who was trolling a server got trolled back - and it was his decision to try to go out of the way to use his orientation as some sort of race card type defense when losing his trolling battle.
But instead, said person starts off by asking in public about other players view on unorthodox sexual preference. This implies exhibitionism of sorts, and that's rude.
Is your friend LGBT? Why would I even care?
I do care however if people show off with their views and orientations no matter what they are. That's contaminating and I don't like it. Leave video games views-free and expressing orientation-free and I'll be fine with anything.
If your broken english friends started saying things like "delenda est judaica" or "go away poles" you'd have cause for alarm, and something to complain about. However, (commonly) when straight guys on servers start talking, it's "♥♥♥♥♥♥" this and "vestite" that, especially in a game where we all wear skirts, and nobody can or will do anything about it. That is unacceptable and rude.
