[BUG?] Giant Croc in pond/lake
Is there some sort of bug with the Giant Croc that rests near the lake just to the west and a bit north of the Sentinels?

A friend & I were able to kill the giant croc in Gallaman's Tomb, but the same / similar croc at the lake/pond appears to be invincible. None of our strikes hurt it at all.

Does anyone have any info or advice on this?

Thanks,
John

PS: I'm running a dedicated server.

Why would such a powerful boss be so close to the starter areas of the map? LOL

Well, good to know. Funny, a giant croc in Gallaman's Tomb is harder to get to, yet weaker than one roaming so clsoe to the newbie areas. LOL

There are several World Bosses around the map. I know of at least to Crocodile bosses on the southern river. The same applies to the other mini World bosses around the map.

That's weird, I killed it once already, and the one in Gallaman's too. Which weapons did you use ? I noticed that some weapons just can't hit some enemies due to their reach/animation/hitbox.

Iron Two-Handed Sword, and I think I tried a Steel one as well.

I think they are the same, if you can kill one you should be able to kill the other. I didn't notice any difference between the two when I killed them.

I think that someone reported a bug of enemies regenerating their health so fast they were pretty much unkillable.

If you can kill it, you'll get the skelton key once you harvest the corpse. The catch is you won't be able to open the "legendary chest" those keys are meant to open until you're level 60.

That could be what we experienced.
They are not the same, that goes for the spider... rhino and etc.. there are several world bosses out there, this one happens to be 'close' to the first spawn area, surrounded by crocs as well... There is no point in killing it if you are not level 60, and the fact that you hit it and you don't even do anything to it should be a fair warning to not mess with it at that point in the game ;P

Usually if you don't put enough vigor you also get 2-3 shotted by its bites.. even though he is fairly slow, the lunge attack is surprisingly effective on killing people that aren't used to the pattern... along with the quick snap of his jaws whenever you are too close.

Rhino boss or the undead dragon still win the award for the most annoying bosses to fight 'fairly'

I'm not sure if I would class my first early Rhino King encounter as a fight or not, I feel like I would have had to make an attack for it to be a fight, this was more getting headbutted into oblivion xD

The giant croc in the south cave is much easier than the 'Croc God' by the pond. It's tight quarters, but was able to kill the cave Croc with a spear and a lot of health regen (I still don't know if it's a bug or feature, but it was fun considering it's an SP game)

I actually built my base just up the hill a short ways from the Croc God, and built a Mitran shrine at the pond to help despawn some of the crocs so I can move about the area. Turned him from a world boss to a shrine guardian. Only got eaten once testing his toughness out.

I did kill him once while mucking about on my test map. Funny enough, he dies pretty quick to palisades. He doesn't get stuck easy, but they do hurt him, quite a bit.

I kited the God Croc to the little settlement up the hill north in the nook on the left. I thought the villagers there would "help" me wither away its health. Results have been disappointing. Haha
