G-Portal: awful customer service
Just a heads up to anyone considering their service out there.
I rented a server with them, and since yesterday evening it has been going bonkers. The control pannel won't settle on what information it will give me. Sometimes it is online, offline, restarting, or stuck at "starting" and all my custom settings from server name to admin password keep getting reset.

So, of course, I opened a support ticket about it. I get this clown of an answer:

tl;dr - "I just asked funcom directly and they agreed with me on all my sayins... they should know best as I said its working just tried to change day night cycle and works as you can see."

So apparently this fella by the name "goas" has such a direct line to funcom that they can ask them a specific question about G-Portal's control pannel in five (5) minutes [check the time stamps].

I canceled my account with G-Portal in less than 24 hours after moving to them from two other hosting providers. I canceled them because a doppleganger server showed up in my slot using my address. It was clear since it wasn't using my server name, but was using the same IP and I couldn't log in.
Really pi**ed me off when they wouldn't own up to it and pointed the finger at the developers.
To make it worse, after submitting a ticket .. instead of going directly to the maintenance office in Texas where they're supposedly maintaining servers for the U.S. , I ended up in a conversation with someone who was less than a technical representative from their office in GERMANY.

I finally found a decent service in Survival Servers and I've been with them since.

Holy hell, that's messed up! They do seem to be incapable of admitting any fault on their service.
Having the page open my server status keeps cycling and the name switches from default to the one I made. Starting to think it's just an issue with the webpage not with the server itself. Not that it will be resolved if they won't admit to it.
As a side note, I too am being forwarded to German customer support when my server is in the US.

I had my issues with Survival Servers, I actually switched from them to G-Portal. My main issue had to do with a recent 'security update' they made without warning where they locked my server up for ten hours without explanation on a Friday night. When I inquired about it on Twitter they answered by blocking me. Needless to say I got pissy and switched service.
Though after G-Portal's assinine service I'm about to go back. I'll take a random shutdown with a shoddy ETA over a broken control pannel and repulsive customer service.

I have always had good support from G-portal. This could just be because they are massively bogged down. And all Conan Exiles servers are sold out a g-portal..at least for a few days.
Just to add a bit more facts to the mix. Without warning, they will CHANGE YOUR IP, effectively changing your servers indetity, you'll end up losing some or all your playerbase because of this. I can also confirm that their Panel is a mess, goes buggy every once in a while.

If they would come out and say such a thing I would perhaps be a little bit more forgiving. As it sands they keep refusing to admit anything is wrong and instead fault anyone but themselves [to the point this last guy told me ALL mods are broken and to immediately uninstall them].

Holy crap that is outstandingly ridiculous! I am definitely switching services.

This is what I see when I look at my Ark server (which seems to be in maintenance wtf)

G-portal quote
"We've received reports of servers not showing up in the server browser on PS4, and are looking into the issue."

As for now we are also completely sold out on all kind of Conan Servers. We will add capacities within the next days, but for now we are completely sold out. Customers will have their playdays put back to start as soon as they will be able to add a server so no time is lost.

Just don't cancel and everything will be fine. You can't transfer your save data, they block you from doing it. At least they did it to me back in December.

No FTP to backup your data locally? You should always be in possession of your server files.

Oh there was FTP, but when you tried to copy the files over, the vital files, game.db were considered "protected" and couldn't be touched.

Up to date, I've been with S.S. going on a year. When I've had an issue, they were quick to take action and that pleases me. They've been the most reliable for my experience.

Works fine for me, every mod works, sure the Server Setting site is outdatet, they know it and already working on it. I dont blame them, because for me, server is running without troubles, uptime to 98%, yesterday was a restart because they work on the server. Sure they are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up right now, because there are TO many of them who want a server, but u know, this is going to happen if u underrate the big jump of players after launche xD
Dude last time they did that to me (The IP thing) all I wanted was a "sorry for the inconvenience but..." instead I got a smartass guy who tells me that "if you want to improve this has to be done"
wha- what kind of an answer is that??

The only reason I'm staying is not to bother my crew with this nonsense, I got a good solid community, cool players and they don't need any of this drama.

G-Portal customer support is full of unsupervised smartasses who know not the meaning of professionalism.
That's the third person I've had the displeasure to speak to at their so-called support ticket system. Same condescending attitude with zero understanding of how to engage a customer in a respectful manner. To the point the last child to check on my server decided to change the message of the day to a snap-back at me and my mod.
The fact there is no way to report these transgressions further prove the absurdity of G-Portals and their utter abandon regarding customer satisfaction.
